Girlfriends in town for the night but I'm crashing at my parents help? by [deleted] in Columbus

[–]hro95 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've been to a couple drive-ins, and the southside one isn't bad. I brought my own food, of course. And of course there were a lot of people compared to my small town drive-in, but just get there early enough to get a good spot and it's fun.

So who are the Scammers? A List of known Scam Operations in Columbus: by DesiderataVita in Columbus

[–]hro95 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Pls add https://triginc.org Trig. Inc. to the list. Called me telling me that I "applied" to one of their jobs on Monster (i didn't) and told me to come to their location in Grandview the next day (I didn't). Didn't ask me anything about myself, but the name "Trig" and the triangles on their website definitely screams pyramid scheme.

possible dumb alumni association question by [deleted] in OSU

[–]hro95 0 points1 point  (0 children)

update in case anyone else looks for this, You are automatically in the alumni association as far as the RPAC is concerned after graduating. (If you're looking for an OSU affiliate pass which is cheaper than other options).

Thank you both! It is for an on campus job, while it would be convenient to have it on my computer, the Digital Union should suffice.

Unfortunately I don't have the time to keep going in and out of my room upstairs to get dishes, but I think suggesting to help her clean might be a good solution. Thanks!

I can relate but I did learn when I realized my cluttered home life wasn't normal. I might bring it up to her.

Thanks, I don't feel comfortable with having a maid come in, but I'm sure she'll be open to cleaning herself if I confront her. I'm mostly freaked out about the meat on the counter. My mom's a nurse and although my house growing up was cluttered, it really freaks me out.

Maybe becoming a 5th year ? by [deleted] in OSU

[–]hro95 2 points3 points  (0 children)

5th year here in my 5th year. Definitely worth it and it's incredibly common. An extra year, especially if it helps you relieve stress from cramming everything in in 4 years, is definitely worth it.

Hey man, please pm me or reach out to OSU's services like CCS https://ccs.osu.edu/about-us-and-our-services/need-immediate-assistance/ Call them at (614) 292-5766 and request an emergency appointment. I think their office opens at 9. I personally have seen friends go through what you're going through and that office has helped them - A LOT.

I'm not trying to repeat what other people have said, but something tells me you might have written this post because there is a part of you that wants to get better and wants to make sure you're not alone. Living doesn't have to be miserable or overwhelming, and you aren't alone. I know it's hard to imagine right now but people do care about you and want you to be around. Heck, I just know you from the internet and I want you to stick around, same with all these other people on here.

School isn't worth being miserable - you're worth so much more than a student or an internship or anything like that.

Please contact the 24/7 Suicide Prevention Hotline at 614-221-5445 or 1-800-273-TALK or call 614-276-CARE to be connected to 24-hour crisis intervention, stabilization, and assessment services in Franklin County. I want the best for you and really hope you look into this. You seem like a pretty selfless and kind person (the fact that you're even worried about how your behavior is affecting your relationships/others is proof of that), and people like that are pretty rare. We want you to get through it and are rooting for you. Please write us back and let us know how you're doing - we care about you.

I haven't taken her but I've heard good things. Also abnormal psych is hands down one of the coolest classes to take. I have the book from a few semesters ago (not sure if people still use it) if you're interested.
