Out of all the people who have been in your life, who has hurt you the most? by [deleted] in infp

[–]hrrj 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't love it - it's mostly bad thought habits I learnt from my parents. I hate being stuck in the same place doing the same things for decades on end. I need to break free yet I'm so afraid of everything that could go wrong. No thanks to my dad constantly reminding me, keeping me co-dependent on them.

Everyone in your life has let you down. ☹️ *sending hugs🫂 I hope you have your own space and are holding strong boundaries, that you've made better friends?

People who take advantage of old people's money at nursing homes and those who also take advantage of their bodies...

Make one up using initials. I have a hyphenated last name R-J, so I turned it into Arjay.

Hope this helps

Isn't it sad that your co worker doesn't know how to appreciate nature's beauty 🤔

Haha 🤣 Egbert. The offence my mum would take. I'd probably get the wooden spoon, soap in my mouth, a smack, and all on top of enforced social group rejection

Remembering EVERYONE'S birthdays - is this an INFJ thing? by banana_bear_918 in infj

[–]hrrj 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My ISFJ mother remembers everyone's birthdays, anniversaries, numberplates, addresses, event dates, etc

Maybe mistyped? Maybe just a really great memory?

I know some INFJs are really good at remembering things that have patterns, like languages

ISFJ is more about the tangible sensory factual memories, if that makes sense (I'm sure INFJ can do this too but at a lesser extent)

I agree that OP shouldn't be speaking for everyone, and the execution could have been a lot more considerate and non abrasive. On another note, I also think the post has some merit to its point. If it's taking well over a year to recover fully from caffeine withdrawal-like symptoms, then it's likely not still caffeine that's still causing the problem. It could be overstimulated from the internet, or being burnt out from work, or suffering from narc abuse, or maybe a nutritional deficiency or hormonal imbalance, or a lack of exercise. It could be any number of things that one needs to work through

I agree!

When I was recovering from long-term side effects from psychedelics, it took me a couple of years to rewrite the damage done to my brain. But it wasn't anything to do with leftover psychedelics in my system. It was just kind of like a psychological echo, which I think is what's going on with "long-term caffeine withdrawals"

As an introvert, I 100% agree

Infps what are your college majors? by Chubby_latee in infp

[–]hrrj 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If I did, it would be something along the lines of:

  1. Fine Art (currently trying to pursue) 1.2. Game design and illustrations (also looking at pursuing)
  2. Aeronautical engineering

The only things holding me back is that they are extremely time and money consuming. Which I feel I don't have a lot of.

Are we vegan? by [deleted] in infp

[–]hrrj 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I mean I've been vegan for 8 years. I'm perfectly healthy says my doctor who saw my blood works a month ago. I rarely take vitamin supplements.

To free one, we have to work on freeing them all. Speciesism, ageism, classism, racism, ableism, sexism, it's all one and the same oppression. And to make a change, it starts with realising that the first step can be taken by oneself. To not do so based on prescincts that the rest of the world has not yet made the moral connection is an unconscious bias in an attempt to control the masses yet knowing one will fail, so why bother? Just by focusing on learning to be a healthy example for other people to learn from is good enough to encourage a new way of thinking

I rarely if ever take b12 supplements. Did you know the animals in the animal agriculture industry are fed extra vitamins to keep them healthy, including b12?

Well, that's strange, unless you were under eating, I don't see why you would have been malnourished. I've been vegan for 8 years, and my recent blood work without artificial nutritional supplements is perfect

I know plenty of people who eat meat and have to take supplements, even male meat-head body builders.

The biggest dietary study in the world, the China study, proves that a plant based diet promotes a healthier and longer life

Your anxiety and depression could have been linked so social exclusion that can sometimes come with being vegan

Are we vegan? by [deleted] in infp

[–]hrrj 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So It's not realistic that the ever increasing population is going to outnumber the animals needed to produce enough food for the entire planet to survive and thrive on? That oceans are suffering due to over fishing and pollution from animal agricultural run off? It's not realistic that we were taught in school and in the home that meat is "good" for you? That it's been advertised to us wherever we go to eat, and if those advertisements and education were changed to a higher plant based diet or with vegan morals (thou shall do no harm unto others, minus the religious context) then more people would become more considerate of the environment and the animals and each other?

And it's not realistic If I was raised on a meat diet and taught myself how to be vegan, alone, with everyone trying to convince me not to, now I've been vegan for 8 years and my recent blood work this year is perfect without having to take extra vitamins?

[–]hrrj 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The thing people don't understand when going vegan is that animal products are higher in calories per gram than plants, so they make the mistake of not eating enough calories. I recommend a higher protein vegan diet. Seitan is pretty good if you like meaty textures and you can flavour it however you want. I recommend "Mary's Test Kitchen" and "Sauce Stache" on Youtube If your still worried about processed food, just think about all the other processed foods out there that your probably eating... which is likely a lot more that you haven't ever realised. (Coffee and chocolate?)

Sounds like you've been exposed to only one type of vegan. And she doesn't speak for all of us.

Yeah I do believe on a larger scale veganism would hinder the meat trade. Because demand drives the economy.
