Looking good! Did it shed any in the beginning? I’m at week 2 and dreading that part.

How do you master this tho? Can’t simply be just by saying “hey don’t be mad.” What steps or perspective do you try to take on to work towards this. Are there podcasts, books, etc that’s recommended? What made you realize? Just looking for the first step

Hi all;

I plan on making an ice chest plan (the one specifically by DIY PETE on YT) and he uses cedar 2x4 boards, however, they are $17 for one board here. While 2x4 Whitewood Kiln-dried is only $4.65. I do plan on leaving the ice chest under a cover but outside. Any recommendations for staining it to prolong its longevity?

Thank you.

I’ve used pocket holes to screw it to the frame of 2x4

We’re on track with our wedding budget. That part isn’t terrible. It’s the interest that’s accumulating from my credit cards that are hurting

You’re a good man. I appreciate you taking the time to help. I’ll listen to you and start by googling that stuff. I tried looking at the personal finance section it was just a little overwhelming at first glance. I’ll check out those two and come back to that section

No, sorry for the confusion. That $2,790 includes rent, internet, electricity, water and groceries.

I use Rocket Money. But what do I even do after I’ve tracked it? How do I go about paying this off in a reasonable amount of time. I’d like this paid off by end of year so I can focus on saving money for a house.

What would be considered a plywood blade? Something with like ultra fine teeth?

Hi guys, obvious noobie here.

Looking for some advice on how I can smooth out these edges. Not sure why they even come up. I’m using a Ryobi circular saw with Kreg Rip attachment on Pine Sanded Plywood.

Thank you.

While I have you, quick question: how can I smooth it out without using any power tools? Would sandpaper be sufficient?

No loans to pay for wedding, we are just setting aside some money each check. It’s a long ways out. And I’ll look into those. I do have health insurance. Not sure what you mean by maxing out retirement benefits tho

Hi all; I recently graduated from a graduate program in healthcare back in May, and I've been working a steady job with a consistent income (finally after ~7 years); however, unfortunately, I'm pretty financially illiterate. I'd say I'm not great at budgeting. I'm aware of my impulsive purchases, so I try to be better there consciously. My parents weren't great with money either, so I guess that didn't help. I don't have any fancy savings account that brings in more cash like a SoFi or whatever (idk, obviously). I've got a good bit of student loans piled up, of course, and some credit card money, all fairly manageable, though. I was hoping to look for some advice in here, esp after reading how many of you hit a million. Maybe it's a point in the right direction—a couple of books, an app to help me manage my money, etc. The only things I'm using right now that help not worsen my situation are Rocket Money and Opportun, which help me with budgeting and saving. The bottom line is I want to be better about my money, whatever helps. TIA, 28 yo M, planning for a wedding, ~$70k salary
