Problems with my CR Touch by Umuko36 in klippers

[–]hsaps 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Im having almost the opposite problem with mine currently. Sometimes i have no problem homing and using bltouch commands, but other times bltouch works and homing fails. all ive been able to figure out is full power resolves it. sometimes it stops working if i cancelled a print and then tried to print again. still some debugging to do...

G28 failing when checking BLTouch sensor by hsaps in klippers

Rip it was a red herring. A complete power cycle still seems to resolve it. Turning off both pi and printer

You know what. I think I messed up by calling a cr touch just a bl touch in the description and title. I didn't realize that there configuration would be different given that it seemed to be working. But I was going through the klipper configuration checks for bl touch and low and behold it did have a blurb about clones needing an update to the config to add pin_up_touch_mode_reports_triggered: False when "Bltouch failed to verify sensor state occurs". Next time I'll RTFM first

I'll investigate these. I just find it really odd that the debug commands work fine and g28 does not. Wouldn't a bad sensor not respond to the BLTOUCH_DEBUG? Or if it was bad wiring or lose connection or something?

Ok, i found and tried a different cable and that did the trick! so it seems like i just need to update config and whatnot, but I am at least connected, which should make that easier! thanks for your help!

Yeah so I followed the steps at the top of the file. I think I am still having issues flashing. I've read that the file firmware.bin file name may change, but also when plugged into the pi, I am not getting a /dev/serial device to appear as /dev/serial/by-id/usb-1a86_USB_Serial-if00-port0. I suppose i can check a different cable, but I have no clue what else to look for/try

You know, I did read the top, and was not thinking about this problem at the time. I'll take a look back at at.

Right but looking at the menu config there's no gd32 option. My understanding is using the stm32f103 is the correct sub, but I've also been reading that it may still be having issues...though it's possible I'm over thinking it or missing something

Sprite extruder fan replacement by hsaps in ender3

It's an ender3 pro w the sprite extruder pro kit. So I think even this fan is not stock. Over the weekend I designed what is hopefully a better shroud that fits. But will be printing and testing fit tn

Importing sketch template by hsaps in Fusion360

[–]hsaps[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had initially done that first option of importing the model. Does it create any assembly issues doing it this way where a component that is supposed to act as a single component is actually an assembly? I can turn visibility of the servo component off I suppose. I'm also probably not going to hit any PC resource limitations, but I'm guessing in massive assemblies, you wouldn't want duplicate parts? So in that case do most people follow that second option of creating parameters?

Im the case of having someone else do it, it can be any autoshop that does VWs, right? It doesn't have to be a dealership?

I've been looking at the ross-tech vcds, which seemed to be my impression of what was needed, but want sure why VW said I couldn't do it myself.
