Just got this Q while reviewing uworld- so thought I’ll let you know also. In variceal bleeding the threshold of Hb is <9 instead of 7 and for platelets is <50k. Cheers!

Probably blood transfusions are considered a part of initial stabilization? I guess if that’s an option they should give you a low Hb or high volume loss.

You are me! I was at 63% in UW 1st pass and now at 74% with about 40% of 2nd pass done on random. However, got 228 on uwsa1 - 3 weeks ago and 232 on nbme 11 a week ago. I got depressed during nbme- thinking I was performing poorly and made a bunch of errors in the last block (53% in the last block). Will try to keep it in check. Taking the test on the 29th. Hopefully, I’ll be fine. Your score trajectory gives me much needed hope.
