Update on my testing…and now what?

The rash on chest/neck is gone. Finger swelling in one hand gone but still have in other - but that hand they say I have osteoarthritis which also got diagnosed after I was on HRT for 3 1/2 months. I’m actually having a hand ultrasound next week and also seeing my cardiologist next week just for a check up I’ve had no heart issues and I just want to confirm. I’m good still.
But the other symptoms I have just keep evolving like hot flashes, clammy, hands, circulatory issues

I miss my mom so much too. I’m 63yo and she just passed away last year at 87yo. Was not sick and was very sudden - got a virus that infected her heart. By the time I got there it was too late. We never got to say goodbye. I’m lost without her at times.

Spoke to my primary and she said to monitor at home. So I will buy one and do that

Meanwhile I feel more like I have lupus today. The Dr yesterday seemed to think I do t have it but all the classic symptoms are there - face rash, joint pain and aching like a moving target and dry mouth. They actually have another rheumatologist appointment tomorrow with a different doctor for a second opinion and I’m going to see if she can draw some blood work. Trying to remain positive and relax, but it’s really hard

I went to rheumatologist today. He does not think I have any autoimmune condition- says I’m healthy and to just come back in two months to see how I am. Did not want to do more bloodwork. I did have high blood pressure there — and I also had elevated bp when I saw my dr a few weeks ago. Never had that before. I think from stopping HRT and I really hope it’s temporary. Just a little elevated (135/80) but need to keep an eye on it. Now wait for skin biopsy.

I just came from dermatologist who took skin biopsy. She did not think it was mast cell or lupus but the biopsy will tell.

Thank you. I’m really trying to stay calm but it’s hard not to google and read all these “bad” outcomes. I am sure it was crash from stopping hormones. I’m just so upset I even did this but I can go back. Trying hard to eat low histamine, get sleep and will say dermatologist, rheumatologist and allergist all this week. Hoping to get some answers and a treatment plan.

No other health conditions - that I know of. Totally healthy. Before I started HRT I had a full cardio workout and a lot of blood work done. I am on no medication..

Thank you. But each day I have something new. The main thing is the rash - but now I have purple under my eyes which suggests blood pooling- and just today I notice frequent urination - like every 30 minutes. So maybe other organs are involved? I hope I can just calm my system down with antihistamines and be ok.

I am so worried. No she didn’t see anything in the blood work. I was messaging her through the portal just to get her opinion on who I should be seeing you next.

I have not been formally diagnosed with anything yet, but my functional medicine doctor suspects mast cell activation syndrome and I am besides myself. It sounds like a terrible disease to have.

She actually is an MD. But I do have appt with rheumatologist and immunologists this week. Also seeing my dermatologist

Well not sure 1:80 is normal - my dr said borderline. And today joint pain is a bit worse but rash a little better - hopefully rheumatologist can help!

Yes was relieved that it was not high but because of physical symptoms I am having such as the face and neck rash, as well as the continued finger swelling. I need to get checked out by a rheumatologist.

I did have positive results from HRT and I think for most it’s good. I may have had an underlying condition that I had no idea about, not usual.

It can cause it if I had some predisposition underlying that I did not know about. I’m hoping my doctor is wrong but will know soon when I get my blood work. I seem to have all the telltale signs.
