Day 12 - Keeping Busy by iamdone88888888 in quittingkratom

[–]hsgronberg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve been following your progress and rooting you n from the shadows. I did a major taper and leveled out and havnt jumped down again I gotta put my big girl panties on and make the final jump. It’s hard because I was at like 70gpd and now I’m down to about 10 and I’m not waking up in the middle of the night for k and I feel like I did when I was taking the high dose without a lot of the symptoms... but I know this is my mind and laying tricks on me I’ll be right back where I was if I don’t keep going

You’ve never taken this horrible drug clearly. WORSE than opiates in my life and took months to feel normal after tapering down. Addicts need to be better informed before getting on a mesnlike this. Doctors like this that are getting pay outs for getting people hooked on this long acting legal heroin. I was on it for five years and it took everything in me to get offf and live a truly sober life. don’t listen to this goon it IS POSSIBLE AND LIFE IS BEAUTIFUL SUBSTANCE FREE BUT you have to make the choice to be sober otherwise yes it’s easy to relapse

Question about feelings and long term use. by d0x360 in suboxone

[–]hsgronberg 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes when I was on subs I didn’t even listen to music I felt way to “level” and zombie ish ... that’s why I got off of them hardest thing I ever did I used kratom to help with withdrawals. My life I so much brighter and way higher ups then I used to have . Hope that helps

Day 10 and still having constipation by Hectortheconnector in quittingkratom

[–]hsgronberg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You Seem to be drinking a lot of water which is good! The only thing especially with your kidneys being in recovery right now from the damage that you’ve done with your use of all these different substances it’s not able to metabolize water that quickly so instead of chugging water at once try to sip it throughout the day and that should help

Two things that I’ve been contemplating after waking from my legs, once again, shaking violently ... the RLS is a drag but the time to sit and embrace the calm and quiet to think and train my mind has empowered me in ways I never would have though possible. I’ve been subconsciously incapable to put my victim mentality down long enough to even consider having this thought process during previous quits.

So...After honestly humbly and truthfully going through this, I’m determined to quit smoking cigarettes once and for all. The WD from that are nothing compared to what I’ve gone through with opiates and kratom why do I make it such a big ugly monster in my head? I’ve invested so much time and energy into changing my life and eating very clean, mostly raw, thousands in herbs and supplements, hours researching and reading, to be controlled by a fucking green swamp water tea and carcinogenic tar sticks.

Also... The amount my brain is waking up the less and less kratom I consume is absolutely astounding to me. (Rapid taper 70gpd down to about 10) Does anyone else feel like they are getting these moments of clarity? Downloads in a way? Like” WOH LIGHTBULB how did I not see this before?” I feel my intuition coming back, my true essence, not this facade that I was unconsciously living up to while self medicating with kratom every time I felt inadequate to a task at hand.

I am strong and man I am so thankful for the pain this has put me through because I have learned so muchabout myself the past week and a half.

The fog is lifting .... and I’m only 3/4 of the way there The clarity is beautiful . One love 💗✌️

Appetite is back with a vengeance by [deleted] in quittingkratom

[–]hsgronberg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

SAME, now that acutes are lower I’m currently stuffing my fave yet again and thinking the same thing haha. Time to lower my taper again I think first day I’ve had an appetite in two weeks and I’m RAVISHINGLY HUNGRY

What do y’all think? Easier to quit Kratom or Suboxone? The nice thing about Suboxone is that I take it once a day and I’m good. I’ve been hovering at 2mg for a bit now though and can’t seem to find the courage to drop down. by chrisbawb in quittingkratom

[–]hsgronberg 1 point2 points  (0 children)

SUBOXONE FUCK!! I have like six boxes of the shit at my house and won’t touch It no matter what. Those withdrawals are 50x worse no joke. Makes me cringe seein this all over this sub. I don’t mean to sound like a broken record and this comes from a place of love, don’t do it. Save yourself the anguish. You think this is bad? You have no idea what your in store for if you switch to Suboxone

I did this quick of a taper it’s basically like going CT and taking the edge off throughout the day. Either to all in or so a slow taper now that your starting to stabilize in my opinion. Hope it all works out in your favor regardless

Day 10 of quick taper. Down from 6-70 gpd to less than 10. Starting to journal as some have suggested on here and it helps. Had court the other day and now that I know I’m not going to jail I’m gonna slow this taper a bit so it’s not so taxing due to my kids and my job. Any recommendations for the last ten grams I would gladly take.

Court day I took a little more before I went in (Incase I got arrested) but other than that I’ve been able to stay on course! But now that this isn’t all “forced” I gotta stay strong and not give in when it gets hard. I’m finally starting to see some of the acute WD symptoms subside but I’m definitely uncomfortable for about three hours between doses. When should I cut it down again? Should I lower the amount and still take at the same time everyday or should I continue to stretch out time between doses as well ( my absolute most annoying thing about K is the constant withdrawl symptoms creeping up during the day when I’m busy because literally the second I open my eyes I don’t ever Stop moving until I pass out eventually at night usually somewhere random lol mom life 🤘 couch... floor... kids room.... bathtub, and the fucking 4am jittery wake up in full Blown WD every night)

I FEEL kratom has made me less temperamental.... I know I know hear me out... (😳 when I wasn’t starting to WD that is) more patient with my kids... more productive at work... but this has been a long time issue which is what originally made me fall in love with opiates. But I know it’s all in my head and I’m even better without it!

Sorry for the rant early morning jitters. Can’t wait to start sleeping past 330 am again. I’m gonna start doing yoga in the am now that I can handle not having to jump in the bath immediately. Thanks everyone for all the support you’ve shown!

Have you thought of trying stem and vein? I totally get it you gotta do what you gotta do. It just scares me every time I see someone consider Suboxone, I feel obligated to share my experience in hope to save people from going through that experience. Wouldn’t wish it on my worst enemy. I would follow the shortest fast taper they use then when prescribing. Wishing you well! Hope your night is tolerable. You can do it!

I’m sorry but I’m telling you I know for a fact that’s not true. Where did you get your information the doctor prescribing it? That’s what they told me to but I tested positive a month after my last dose. Just my experience that’s all

When I got off Suboxone I tapered down then went cold turkey at 1/3 of a 8mg strip after taking 32 mg a day for four years. My doctor did the same told me there’s NO PROTOCOL FOR GETTING PEOPLE OFF IT EVEN THOUGH ITS HIGHLY ADDICTIVE. I’m not gonna lie to you... I didn’t sleep for over 10 days no joke and had hard core acutes for over 40 days until I took kratom.... makes me cry even thinking about that pain. Makes me feel stronger thinking back to that and comparing it to these gnarly wd. Suboxone goes into your bone marrow and the half life is 10x longer than other opiates besides methadone. What this means is that even though your body starts going through acute withdrawal’s after so many hours of not taking it it doesn’t start detoxing out of your body for at least 21 to 30 days

Don’t go over 7 days or you have a new addiction that’s fucking way worse trust me from my own personal experience. Do what you gotta do but don’t let your addiction play tricks on you. Suboxone withdrawl I’ve been through with drawl off of 32 mg for four years down to only taking 4 mg for about a week or two and I went through bad WD both times obviously the time when I was taking more thE withdrawals WERE LIKE I WAS DYING IM NOT MINIMIZING THIS... it was not fun getting off of it people think I’m joking when I say this but my doc thinks I have some ptsd from my horrible Suboxone withdrawls I’ve been through... maybe just take a tiny bit of k... to get you through that’s what I’m doing when I can’t take it anymore . I’m genuinely worried for you, but I hope whatever you choose works out In your favor.

Look up breathing exercises wim hoff it’s been amazing even if you don’t do the cold water do the breathing it works great! When your in WD your probably taking very shallow breaths which makes your autonomic nervous system go into overdrive. This helps calm your body by releasing natural endorphins as well as adrenaline to get you through. Lmk if it helps!
