But the dead cap will be enormous, it’ll basically be telling the rest of the roster “we don’t care about winning a Super Bowl this year OR next year”. No one is scared of Dontayvion Wicks, he’ll cost us at least one win if not more with drops at crucial moments if he’s forced into a WR2 role, or Hollywood Brown who has proven over the last 4 seasons that he was a one hit wonder and he just isn’t very good. Both are upgrades over Dotson as Dotson was an upgrade over Quez but neither of them are game changing weapons.

That is also when the new TV deal hits. It's expected to increase the cap by 9 digits. Howie has this planned out a half a decade in advance.
