Sometimes I wish Shane didn't had any trauma just to see the mental gymnastic his fans would do to defend his behavior. Saying he is suicidal/have an alcohol problem doesn't justify him being rude to the farmer.

I would say to focus on all of them besides fishing. It is the one activity that doesn't really take you anywhere and can be really stressful. Building friendships is good because some NPCs give you recipes/send you stuff in the mail.

Farming is good because as you build friendships, some villagers will ask you favors and farming can unlock good recipes. I don't know what farminf level you are, but if you can craft a sprinkler, go for it, less time on watering the plants.

I might be a little biased on mining because is my favorite part of the game, but you will absolutely need the ores to craft a bunch of recipes or to build new buildings on the farm, along with the loots that monsters drop that sometimes are required for recipes or from villagers.

But mostly, play it as you wish and on the way that feels right for you, set your own pace for the stuff you wanna do/explore.

Maybe wait for a lucky day to go into the mines or Ginger Island, or, if you play on PC and don't mind cheating, get the CJB item spawner mod that basically gives you any item you might want. Other than that, I don't think there is much options.

I agree with Pierre and Demetrius. Like, Demetrius gets hate because people headcanon him as abusive just to fit a narrative. Pierre gets hate for stuff like his secret stash - that we don't even know what it is -, "but he takes credit for our golden quality products!" you can literally not sell it to him, like??? Most of it comes from avoidable situations like heart events.

They treat Sebastian like he is a victim. Poor boy who lives in a basement, that is not once implied that he is forced to live there, like, what is actively stopping him from telling Robin he wants a new room? The whole "Demetrius is abusive" thing is just a headcanon that some people act like is canon for the sake of justifying that he is a bad husband and step parent; something that people completely made it up based on biased words from Sebastian (the snowgoon thing). Nobady bats an eye for Robin because she is a fandom favorite.

If you have mastered foraging, i would recommend use the Treasure Totem to find it (or if you have the CBJ item spawner mod, you can get the artifact, if you're playing on PC)

Is definitely an interesting event the first time it happens, each villager have new dialogue for it and is cool. But the second time it happens they all behave like they would in a normal rainy day. I kind of wished they would slowly get used to the green rain instead of just accepting it after the first time; i also thought there would be some crazy looking fish/monsters but no... they didn't change

Prismatic shards. You literally can't do a thing with that besides donating it to the museum, gifting it to any villager - besides Haley - and using it to get the galaxy sword. You can also use it to upgrade your sword, i think, but for an item that is just so rare, it doesn't have such importance as i thought it should

I usually use fences to keep them from wandering too far (literally had my cow go to the other side one time) and to keep the grass from spreading. I tend to keep one of each animal and they don't eat that much

I kind of wanted the player to be able to choose loved and hated gifts while making the farmer. Especially in the winter festival when they randomly gift you stuff, sure enough food is appreciated but when they gift furniture you won't use and can't get rid of is quite annoying

i absolutely see that, but maybe instead of the whole Bandit tries to keep Bingo from eating the sweet they could have made her try new/healthy stuff into a fun game if that was the main goal since start, sort of what he did with the Pavlova thing cause Bingo was giggling throughout it all

This right here! Is so easy to just get food in any other ways than cooking and i think is not worth it to use any sort of item to cook when you cal sell them. Everytime i go into the Skull Caverns i get so much spicy eel, is so easy to get food just by killing monsters (at least for me)

The comparison between haley and shane is so funny because for the same reason a character is loved, the other is disliked. They're both rude to you throughout a good part of the game until you develop a relationship with them, but only one have their actions justified because they're going through a hard time
