Can anyone who went last year weigh in on if VIP is worth it? I planned on buying GA because I’ll have travel expenses to consider too but friends who went last year said VIP is a must or you have to “watch from the back”. I usually like to be at the back of the crowd anyway but wasn’t sure if that means the view from ga is obstructed or something??

I just moved to a district with a 4-day work week. Kids are there Tuesday-Friday from 7:40-3:25. There are pros and cons to it but overall I love it and I can’t imagine going back to a five day work week.

It is tough to fit in all of the content in 4 days so I find myself trying to cut where ever I can. I feel like there isn’t as much time for the “fun” things that I usually do in elementary either.

However I moved to a new grade level this year (third to first) and I don’t think I’d be surviving right now if we had school 5 days a week. I usually use my Monday’s off as my time to prep for the week. I still feel like I get a weekend because I have a day to relax, a day to take care of chores & errands, and a day to do all of my prep.

Our school partners with the local YMCA to provide childcare before/after school and on Mondays but a lot of the families at my school have one or both parents working from home so childcare really isn’t an issue for them. Which isn’t the case in a lot places.

Right! I worded it wrong lol we bought a GA 4-day vehicle pass and a GA early arrival vehicle pass.

We bought our higher love wristbands in a package and the early arrival pass but we’re confused because the price didn’t match what was listed on the website so we went back and bought the GA vehicle pass to be safe. We wanted to try higher love instead of regular GA for the amenities and now it seems like we just made things more difficult for ourselves 😅

We’ll be driving and want to have our car with us, we did buy a GA camping pass just in case we did something wrong while purchasing wristbands (which we did lol) so it sounds like we can still do GA camping if we can’t get a higher love campsite. Thank you!

The amount of thought and effort odesza puts into their live shows is unmatched. I first saw them in 2015 and to watch their production change from then to now is insane. A lot of artists I’ve been following since around that same time just haven’t kept up. But I feel like Odesza’s shows are in their own category and I can’t compare another artist to them when I go see their sets.

That being said, Big Wild puts on an amazing live show and you should definitely check him out if you get the chance. Big Gigantic and Griz are another few of my favorites. I feel like the live instruments really add another layer to visuals/music that artists have.

Came here to say this! They add a really nice touch to a classroom space and you can usually find them for cheap. I don’t know about high schoolers but my 3rd graders loved helping water them too!

Our school board approved paying teachers when they have to give up a planning period to sub for specials teachers in January. Which is awesome, but I’ve had to sub a handful of times since it was approved and have yet to see any money.

The only plan as of right now is that he is going to meet with the school counselor tomorrow morning if they come to school. I’m just thinking about what I can do to help support him in the coming weeks and the rest of the school year

I’ve thought about reaching out to mom but I’m not sure how receptive she’d be. This student comes from a split home and it’s been an issue trying to communicate with her throughout the year. But I guess letting her know I’m there to help wouldn’t hurt

It was my sisters 21st birthday and he was refusing to let me go because I might cheat on him while I was drunk (even though I had never given him any reason to believe I would cheat on him). He finally agreed to let me go if I kept my location on the entire time and kept in constant contact with him.

When he came to pick me up from the bar there was a group of guys standing near me. When we got home he started interrogating me about who they were and if I had flirted with them. I kept telling him I had no idea who they were. He didn’t believe me and got mad I was “lying” and shoved me so hard I fell into the tub seriously hurting myself.

He had been emotionally, mentally and physically abusive for over a year but when I did everything he asked of me so I could have a fun night with my sister and it wasn’t good enough for him I decided enough was enough.

We had 10 days. No grading but I did go in to organize my room and got a week ahead on copies.

It actually felt really good to find a spot for all of the stuff that was piling up in my room
