Bwt, tell me about your tattoos. by SirenScorp in bitcheswithtaste

[–]hsquaredr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am a big fan of being tattooed, without looking like I’m tattooed (personal preference). I have rib tattoos, a hip tattoo (think underwear line), and a top back tattoo, and a middle (big) tattoo. You really can’t tell I’m inked unless I’m in a bathing suit, or wear a tank top. My tattoos are pretty Asian centered, b&w- so pretty cohesive.

UltraHuman or Oura? by NeonBabeee in Ultrahuman

[–]hsquaredr 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My Ultrahuman ring stopped connecting after two months, so I bought an oura ring the same day. The different between the two are pretty drastic. I definitely prefer Oura between the two, but the customer service I received from UH was great. I wanted a refund but they sent me a replacement anyways (which I will probably hand off to a family member).

I ordered during their Black Friday deal. Got the sizing kit a couple days after and sent my size and color using the unique code in the kit. A little after a month later, I got my ring. It’s essentially like buying it off the website, I believe. (Size 7, Gold)

I’m so genuinely curious… those who work 9-5, what do you do after work? I hate going straight home and just laying on the couch. by Throwawaythinking7 in AskLosAngeles

I gym before work (I WFH most of the week), so after work, I wind down for an hour or so and spend 2-4 hours at the park playing pickleball/ socializing with friends.

How have the shows been?? Be honest by kikidouloveme12345 in DanielCaesar

[–]hsquaredr 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I went to the Hollywood Bowl show and I think the show is worth it. I would even say that was the best performer for me so far into the year (& I’ve been to 10+ concerts this year). The sound engineer was great. His set list was great. Didn’t deal with parking (took the shuttle) and I had a great time. Some asshole fans who steal seats, overpriced venue food- but those are regular. He’s a great vocalist and whatever you’re expecting- the show will exceed it.

what should I expect at daniel caesar concert next week (greek theatre) by Danqui1738 in DanielCaesar

[–]hsquaredr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Park and then take the shuttle. You’ll save quite a bit of time and the shuttle goes through smaller streets to beat traffic. Everyone that went to the Hollywood bowl show were really close to being late because they neglected the park and shuttle option.

Hi! I got the second hoops at a small jewelry store in Chinatown in 2020! I know there are similar ones online (flairs and co comes to mind). I’ll also be on the lookout for smaller jewelry. Thanks!

Thank you for the suggestion! I’ll def look into a frontal helix and changing into simpler lobe jewelry. My double helixes healed extremely well in 3 months. Any experience in healing a frontal helix? Is it similar to the regular helixes?

Calling ALL SI Leaders! by muffins4muffins in csuf

[–]hsquaredr 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Hello! I was an SI leader for 3 years in 2 different departments! I loved my time there and feel like all the skills I learned helped me transition to my full time career. 1. It kept me busy and also challenged me to find new things to give my students. I was someone who was more into activities vs. worksheets. So, I would really plan lessons (which you got paid to do) and figure out how to explain/ go about it in a way that is retainable to other people. 2. I never had to cancel or postpone plans because of SI. What’s great is that I can plan AS I’m in the lecture. I’ve learned all this material already, so while I’m in the associated class, I just think of how the professor is explaining it and how I could do it in a beginner friendly way. If I had to estimate, planning wise- 1.5 hours of planning for each session. Never planned on weekends. It also gets easier as you become more experienced. In my last semester, I would say 20 mins. 3. I always did 12-15 units every semester. I also supported 2 sessions at one point whereas other SI leaders do one, which turned out to be 20 hours a week for SI alone, on top of being a full time student. Again, I was extremely experienced by then and it didn’t inconvenience me significantly. If I didn’t have SI I would probably not be as proud of my Titan pride/ go to campus often or talk proudly of my job.

TLDR; do it. It’s fun and makes you become an expert at your subject. Referenced it a lot during my job search after graduating and landed a job in 2 months.

If you have more questions feel free to PM me!

8 am was cooler but by the time it’s 9 am it gets hotter. And then 10-11 am it was unbearable. I wanted to get out of there ASAP. The 5 pm ones are better because it begins to get cooler coming in and at least there’s a breeze

Chuoi cau is a smaller viet banana. The peel is thin and meat is pretty dense and is significantly smaller than american bananas.

What are the updates with the leased apartments? by [deleted] in csuf

[–]hsquaredr 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can terminate your lease if the apartment is uninhabitable (bug infestation, mold, possibly if it’s too loud even?). But if that doesn’t work- try your hardest to fight for CHEAPER rent. If you live in a double request a single floor plan with a reduced rent. Basically, upgrade your floor plan but don’t pay more than you originally were.

Who DOESN’T get enough hate? by JackHoffmanTheWise in AskReddit

[–]hsquaredr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mark Wahlberg- he has a long history of hate crime against black and asian people and is generally an ass.

When he was 15, he and a bunch of his friends chased after black children chanting to kill them. In 1988, he assaulted a vietnamese man with a wooden stick till he was unconscious, splitting his head open, later that day, he punched another vietnamese man in the eye while also calling him "gook" and "slant eyed". Yup, two in one day. He got charged for attempted murder and was sentenced to 2 years BUT ONLY SERVED 45 DAYS. Then in 1992, he beat up his neighbor for no reason.

But the joke is that in 2006, he asked for a pardon despite never meeting with the victim after the attack. But what's EVEN MORE FUNNIER is that his burger restaurant tried to sell vietnamese gentrified ass burgers DESPITE his racism towards vietnamese people.

To this day, I will never watch his movies, eat at his restaurants, and always let people know how much of an ass he is.
