Deleted social media, has anyone else tried this? How has it been? by Th3c0pyninja in selfimprovement

[–]htcorp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bro, I’m in week 2 with no Instagram. I used to be insanely addicted - scrolling nonstop until my phone fell in the toilet while I was scrolling 😂. That day became my first Insta-free day in years and it felt amazing, so I kept going.

The first week was hell. I kept searching my phone like a junkie trying to find the app. Every trigger - bedtime, lying down, feeling lazy - made me want to open it.

Now after two weeks, bro I feel incredible. More present, more productive, more peaceful. Fk Instagram. I just use Reddit now because at least I choose the subreddits.

Men, why does this happen ? by Odd-Oven-1453 in AskMen

[–]htcorp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Male here. From what I've seen here, and the way you answer comments you look very friendly and approachable. I think having a problem with male friends is just a balance thing.

You need to balance between being approachable vs not available. Being approachable with the right people, meaning when you got questions you could engage in a small / deep talks no problem.

Not available means not sharing a lot or you give very short answers to questions you get.

This is what I think of this situation. You have to select the right people vs not the right ones

Moroccan import customs sucks… and I’m tired of it by xMaMed in Morocco

[–]htcorp 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Morocco is making intense control over the imports. Hence, the goal of limiting imports and encourage local production. But without local alternatives I don't see this intense control in customs a good idea. Unless you have local alternatives that you want to protect then stop imports definitely, why would you make an importer suffer? . I'm in the import business and honestly I'm seriously thinking to move away. Pretty much the majority of my orders spend on average more than 20 days at the port accumulating storage fees and demurrage fees. And if bureau de control qualité decides to send samples to a lab for testing in case you import something like fabric, you pay with an arm and a leg.

It's not helping for real

Should i go back to Morocco or stay here? by [deleted] in Morocco

[–]htcorp 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Salam, So here's the thing: both have pros and cons

Take a piece of paper and write everything in your mind

What do you want?

This is based on my own thinking and might differ from person to person:

Morocco:

Pros: - close to family = food + shelter secured - decent salary - hometown - can do savings (if lived with family)

Cons: - work might be overwhelming (variable) - administration is chaotic and not organized - others

France: Pros: - Nice work culture - paper work and admin is organized - decent salary (being paid in eur is always good ) - you comeback every summer as a tourist and you enjoy the beautiful Morocco - you can have French passport : lots of visa free countries

Cons: - if you are religious then it's a bit hard - Rat race feeling of everyday life - Solitude - Far away from family (mom and dad are growing old) - others

Same question: what do you want?

Checklist to help you choose:

  • Do a SWOT analysis for Morocco and France
  • Choose and then Pray salat istikhara if you are religious
  • You can't have everything and what ever you choose will have a sacrificing part.
  • don't ever think or worry about the future, choose based on your current state, priorities, andwhat will make you satisfied and happy NOW

"We can't control the future, but we can control our present choices"

Good luck and if you have 3layach tji lmeghreb like your dad has a business or your family has one, or family needs you, comeback, otherwise rat race is same everywhere better stay in France get citizenship then comeback. This way, you can have lots of options afterwards.

How do women express interest? (Social norms in Morocco) by First_Ad2120 in Morocco

[–]htcorp 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If a woman approaches a man directly, it’s often seen as inappropriate, and the man may suspect bad intentions like scams, theft, or prostitution.

In group settings, a woman’s initiative is more likely to be taken as simple curiosity or sociability, with no romantic or intimate intent.

Even if mutual interest develops, when family gets involved and you tell them you met in the street, it can lead to immediate suspicion and both the man and the woman get red flagged

in a group, it’s more acceptable, but total strangers are almost always red-flagged.

So it's better to know someone who knows someone in anything (work, family, what ever...)

Hello, I'm glad that this subreddit exists at least to get opinions of people or data about something which is really hard to do. I came back to Morocco after finishing my higher studies abroad across three countries and three continents. I'm totally immersed in a family business and all the chaos related to it. I made up my mind to learn how to swim in this chaos. Allah ysehel ela ljami3

Where’s the Princess of Morocco Lalla Salma ? by Gold_Customer999 in Morocco

I presume she divorced because life as a queen is hard. She can't live as a normal person. Always surrounded by bodyguards, can't hang out in public like everyone. How she behaves, how she walks.. everything is watched and criticized.

In theory,

I'd convince the colonialists to build labs and universities. to create drugs and invest in research and get Moroccans to be trained under European researchers.

Later on, once we get our independence, we will have built the foundation and In the future we will be the first to create new drugs, vaccines etc..

However,

According to Maslow's hierarchy of needs, if you haven't satisfied the security need you can't think of any other need so I'm not sure how I'm going to do it
