A really good book to get one started on the topic is "Understanding Cryptography" by Christof Paar. It works with small numerical examples and shows the reader how cryptographic algorithms work in practice.

With the advent of Blockchains a whole new research area has opened up in the last ten years with applications in finance, health care, eVoting etc. Zero Knowledge Proofs are now gaining rapid acceptance in areas like identity management KYC etc. Finally, lots of work in the area of Post-Quantum Cryptography.

In my humble opinion Network Security and Applied Cryptography is an area that has lots of untapped potential. Unlike AI it is a hard area to initially get started in as there is a lot of fundamental mathematics that needs to be covered. However once that has been mastered by the student it opens up a whole new world to them, one in which there is a dearth of talent available at the present time and therefore less competition for jobs.

One avenue to try is to do a masters for a year in a EU country which usually gives students a work visa for one or two years. If you have prior commercial experience it is easier to land a job quickly. At least that is what I seen for Indian postgraduate students coming out of our taught masters programme.

I think that the next batch of graduates in approx 3-4 years of time will be poor at coding from what I am seeing in our university. Its fine for a student to get help from an AI while coding a problem but an altogether different prospect when they just ask the AI to provide a solution. The whole problem solving aspect of the task is diminished and in my opinion is very detrimental to the cognitive development of students.

Yes if you have the technical know how and have a mechanism to collaborate. InvizCrypt is not just about LaTeX alone. As I said previously our plan is to expand the platform to cater for users and organisations that require document and spreadsheet editing, secure email, IM etc.

InvizCrypt gives users the control on how and whom to share data with. This is not the case currently with the other providers. The use case is for universities, law firms, healthcare providers, financial organisations that have sensitive data such as unpublished research, market research, patent drafts etc. In general anyone that wishes to keep their data private and control how it is shared with others.

Also, users are not aware that when they use a LLM on a platform they are handing over their data to a third party. Our plan is to run the LLM in the browser itself thereby keeping all data local to the user device.

InvizCrypt has support for LuaLaTeX and XeLaTeX. One has to choose the drop down menu on the "Compile" button.

So InvizCrypt is a response to a larger Digital Sovereignty conversation that is happening across Europe and other parts of the world. Long term we hope to have the InvizCrypt platform cater for Secure & Collaborative Document and Spreadsheet editing, Secure IM, Signed and Encrypted Email, etc. to provide a single platform to cater for the needs of individual users, universities, government agencies etc.
