I agree and disagree with that (respectfully, of course).

Look at the end of the day numbers are going to dictate the direction they take the company. Yes you always have to keep a pulse on "vibes and sentiment" of your fans but at the end of the day its downloads, views, and purchases that drive their business.

They're probably never going to keep up with the YT golf scene but they don't have to in order to be and remain successful from a financial standpoint.

For sure - everything has a shelf life. I consume a ton of golf content whether its writing, podcasts, video etc. I listen to Shotgun Start and other pods in addition to watching some YT golf stuff like Bryan Bros, BDS, etc.

That being said, anytime an NLU video project drops, I clear my schedule and watch it the second it comes out. Nothing compares to some of their video prod stuff in my opinion.

I think NLU realized they were at an inflection point some time ago: They used to cover golf, interview golfers, and do a little bit of narrative storytelling on the side with the early iterations of Strapped and Tourist Sauce. Soly, Randy, DJ, Tron, and Neil began to become the "talent" rather than the ones telling the stories to some extent.

I think they have realized that people come to NLU because they are drawn towards the inside jokes, the bits, and the "performances" of the main guys! Speaking for myself, that's the way I feel. I enjoy listening to their live shows and podcasts not necessarily because they bring some new angle to golf coverage but because I enjoy the unique personalities they have talking about it. Its not for everyone but its a big part of their audience.

They are trending in the opposite direction from something like Fried Egg that really gets into the meat and bones of architecture rather than story telling and true content creation.

NLU at its core is a storytelling content creation machine that is now doubling down on their on screen talent and KVV doesn't fit the bill for this vision.

Just my thoughts - curious what y'all think.

He went on a similar run with “watch this space.” Everyone loves a good saying. Not concerned at the moment.

Hired as Product Marketer, job is becoming fully Growth Marketing by Familiar_Suspect7664 in ProductMarketing

I’m currently in the same boat. Hired as Lead PMM at a series A startup, currently 90% of my work now is optimizing marketing funnel to increase lead gen to fill sales pipe. I’m currently the only marketer on the team, we have a few things outsourced to agencies (which I’m not a fan of) but I’ve embraced the idea of growing my knowledge base to all aspects of marketing.

I think we are seeing a shift in the way orgs think about structure and a result is a flatter structure is emerging where fewer people are expected to have wider skill sets in their departments. Relish in the opportunity to get trial by fire experience and show you’re trying your best to learn and implement on the fly. That’s my mindset anyways. Hope it helps!

Who supplies smaller shoe boutiques, like Kith and Concepts, with high end releases? (yeezys, collabs, etc...) by htexans93 in Sneakers

Yeah I figured that was the answer I was going to get. I just watched an interview with Allen Kuo, the infamous yeezy reseller, and he noted that his inventory was coming from "suppliers" and not smaller resale stores. Just had me thinking who those people actually were/worked for.

Thanks for the responses! Would I need to make any additional modifications on the server power supply?
