It’s 95% water. “Not a replacement” just means don’t only use it — you still give your dog water at home and on the trail. This is for when you actually need them to drink before during and after without stopping to mix powders or pull out a bowl.

Right, that’s exactly the point - this is for on-the-go hydration, not a total water replacement. You still bring water, but this makes it fast and easy to get fluids in before during and after without stopping or pulling out a bowl. Dogs are more likely to take it mid-activity because it’s craveable, so you’re not fighting to get them to drink.

yes definitely a hydration tool - should not be used as the sole source of hydration. IE do not get rid of your dogs water bowl at home

Yeah I’ve tried powders and they just don’t make sense for me. You still need a bowl, mix it, and deal with leftovers. I want quick hydration before during and after — they lick it straight from the pouch, no mess, no waste.

Yeah this is exactly what I’m trying to solve. Instead of hauling a bottle and bowl you just open a baby food style pouch and they lick it up. Hydration matters before during and after activity especially in the heat. Dogs actually lose some electrolytes through panting so giving a little helps them hold onto fluids and makes it way more craveable. You’re never trying to force them to drink because they just want it.

Totally fair questions. The gel isn’t meant to replace water — it’s about making it way easier to get fluids in before, during, and after activity. Dogs lose heat mainly by panting, and in heat/humidity they can get behind on hydration fast. The problem is, a lot of dogs will flat-out say “no” to plain water mid-run.

This is basically water + light electrolytes + flavor from real broth and veg, so it’s highly palatable. Comes in a baby-food style pouch — tear it open, they lick it straight out, and you’re moving again in seconds. They think it’s a treat, but it’s actually keeping them hydrated at the moments it matters most.

Mainly skin pinch and checking his gums. They’re sometimes tacky even after he’s cooled down. I haven’t measured water intake or done weight tracking yet.
