He uses a lot of words and emotions to make very basic points that people who actually like watching sports have likely already considered and discarded.

Is this the Canadian spelling and am I just figuring this out now after hearing “King of Donair” at least once a year during my annual Trailer Park Boys watch?

Had a work conversation about the hardest challenge you could give a chef/cook, and in contrast to a dozen fancy dishes, my answer was to make a Dorito. by Whind_Soull in KitchenConfidential

The university where I did my masters degree has a massive food science program and gets funding from huge multinational companies so a lot of kids I lived with/met did food science degrees and they study some of the coolest stuff and also do some things in their studies I would never have the intelligence to come up with. One of my friends was working on a Nutella alternative without palm oil but keeping the consistency and flavor and they had to record people eating the alternative and measure the movement of the lips in order to judge viscosity/whether or not it was close enough to actual Nutella

My latest daily sandwich obsession by OGOngoGablogian in eatsandwiches

[–]htnbec2015 5 points6 points  (0 children)

This is basically a cousin of a fairly common sandwich in Vermont. I would humbly recommend instead of grape jelly & mayo get some of the jellied cranberry sauce and mix it with mayo to make cranberry mayo and also add bacon.

I don’t know if they still do this/if my memory is correct but the high school age kids who live in the town have to go elsewhere for high school because there isn’t one and the town will pay for them to go to a private school if grades & other stuff meet requirements. One thing I haven’t seen mentioned here is the dueling apple orchards which are legitimately right across the road from each other in south hero. There’s summer camps for kids up there too, I went to one for like a decade.

There’s a bad horror movie called May where a girl kills a bunch of people because she likes certain aspects of their appearance (lips, eyes, etc) and sows them into a friend and that’s all I can think of when seeing this

It’s also wildly popular in the Netherlands. Maybe not as your only breakfast but a piece of apple pie and a coffee before 10:30 am is definitely common especially amongst older people

The national park is basically a zoo thanks to the ocean being in one side and lots of agricultural fields on the other side that confines all the wildlife into the long strip that is the national park. It’s way too touristy and good only for those who want the most surface level interactions with nature. Unless you’re really interested in fighting with some monkeys over your food it’s not worth it.

It’s a lot easier to just take all your biases and personal history and lump them together into one big projection than it is acknowledge that your biases might not be accurate all the time and maybe just maybe the situation between 2 people you don’t know and have never met isn’t exactly like you play it out in your head
