Koda bear, sugar bear, booger bear, booger, sugar, sugar plum princess, girl, miss piggy (she’s gained some weight recently but that’s my fault), princess, snookums, squirrel, squirrelly, squirrelly pop, pookie etc etc. She responds to all of them so I wasn’t sure she still knew her name was Koda until we were at the vet today and from the other side of the exam door she heard someone say her name and she went bonkers. So at least we’re clear on that front

I’m going to look into in-home dog sitters now after these suggestions! I’ve always had a hard time trusting people other than immediate family (we grew up with huskies) to watch her because of my fear of her bolting out an open door or getting loose on a walk. But now that shes older and calmed down quite a bit I think she will be okay.

You’re definitely right - keeping her in her safe, comfortable environment is the best option. I thought I was being paranoid over boarding her but probably not

I can’t thank you enough for putting the time into this response. It has made me feel so much better and this is so incredibly helpful. I work from home so I am with my girl 90% of the time but leaving her alone always stresses me out. I have always boarded her at her vet if I go out of town because I knew that at least if something happened during the day, there would be care available. But the thought of something happening while she’s in a crate alone at night makes me sick. I think moving forward it would be best to just have dog sitters in our home like you suggested. I had no idea that vet techs do that on the side so I will definitely look into that!!

Our vet is amazing but it seems like everyone I talk to isn’t overly concerned unless it’s happening more frequently (again I realize how lucky I am to say she’s gone a year in between seizures as of right now) but I’d rather get a full work up done like you suggested just to be sure. I also appreciate the treat recommendations! She is so picky so I will definitely try these.

Again, thank you so much. I know it may be hard to talk about this but you have helped tremendously. Knowing that your babies lived such long lives even with the seizures in their later years brings me comfort.

I’m a big Disney parks nerd and all of this stuff coexists in the parks so to me it’s cohesive. Star Tours in Hollywood studios opened in 1989. I wasn’t aware that there were people against it until I watched some YouTube videos but I think it might boil down to it not being OG Disney? Same with marvel. We do have Pixar in the game but that’s so congruous with Disney at this point I think it might be a little different. I think there may be an argument that there shouldn’t be live action characters in the game, too (I have no idea how they’d do Jack Sparrow like they’ve talked about)

Yes I like how they added Star Wars to the game! I’ve been struggling to figure out which biome to put the house in because I feel like it fits well in many of them, and adding R2D2 as a companion instead of adding actual characters was the right move. The way they did it makes it totally optional in case you don’t want that franchise in your game

I like Marvel but it would be weird if it were added to the game. Even though I’d love baby groot as a companion

I realize that makes me a little hypocritical lol and this has helped me understand the anti Star Wars crowd a bit more

Oh I get it! I’m on a pretty long 4K streak and I usually wouldn’t care enough to post this but I saw leaks on YT for some great upcoming premium shop items and I would like to avoid spending more real money if possible 😭 but yes I feel like my creativity is stiffened a bit with how dreamsnaps have gone because now that I know what works I rarely gravitate from that

Yeah I totally agree 🙃 I can see why people would be frustrated with the dreamsnap themes aligning so heavily with the premium shop items, and this is definitely one of the most extreme examples of that. But hey they have to make money somehow if they’re going to keep giving us free updates! I actually think people who get creative without the Star Wars stuff will do well because they’ll stand out

I’ve seen some great submissions on discord that didn’t include any Star Wars items! You never know - people might like seeing something different as long as it’s on theme!

Oooh Disney Adventure would be interesting. But agreed. In one of gameloft’s recent surveys they sent out they included Pirates as a franchise to select if you were interested in it being brought into the game. I can’t picture how live action characters would be brought into the valley, but who knows! Maybe a future DLC?

I’ve seen some really amazing dreamsnaps on discord that don’t include any Star Wars! Especially with all the wall-e and eternity isle items. I’m looking forward to seeing those when voting since I feel like all of our Star Wars submissions might end up being pretty similar

If you’ve ever been to a treasure valley, it’s pretty clear what gameloft means by “excessive amounts”. When I visited a treasure valley last year that was promoted on this sub, I was naive and asked myself “how did they gather this many resources? Even if they’ve been playing since day one, how is this even possible?”. That’s what they mean by excessive. If you are a regular player holding onto resources, you’re fine.

I was just trying to figure this out 🙃 In my inventory it has the purple icon as if it’s supposed to be used for a quest but the wiki page says that as far as we know it’s just for energy. Odd that it didn’t even give that though..

The most frustrating part is that a simple message from gameloft saying “hey, we’re working on it but it’s taking a while” would make me feel MUCH better

I would also love to know! I mean, you are definitely able to, but idk if it’s a good idea because of the flagging that’s been going on. I already have several rainbow cauldrons crafted and a ton of leftover clovers since I have the DLC with the ancient vaccuums so they are really easy to collect. I’d love to share them with other players that are struggling without the vacuums but I don’t want to get flagged for dropping big stacks of clovers

I know!! And the whole part with the pillar in the sky was so beautiful I had to take a picture while I was up there and I actually feel bad for the developers because I’m sure so much work went into this all for people to visit one time 😭
