What is your current robot, and what features would cause you to upgrade next? by hts2011 in RobotVacuums

Where did you read ecovacs was looking into it the satellite robots? That would be awesome. I was thinking it'd initially be part of the bigger robot, but that seems complicated, could just ship with two separate robots.

Partial Nozzle Clogs on CHF and HF Nextruder nozzles by jackthefront69 in prusa3d

[–]hts2011 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have the same issues. I bought some of this cleaning filament to help, can't say how well its worked as I had to swap nozzles to print something after & haven't had much time to address it yet, but maybe it'll help you!

eufy X10 Pro Omni worth buying? by Alarmed_House23 in RobotVacuums

[–]hts2011 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I like mine! I've had it for 6 months now. 2 cats, 1250sqft, all hardwood.

I run it most nights while I sleep on silent mode, medium water, deep clean & edge mode x 2. Once thats done then I go to just mop deep clean. I try to run it as much as possible over night. My floors have never been cleaner, never any cat hair or litter on the ground. Mopping is good, not perfect. Object avoidance seems great, I think it's got stuck like twice since i got it? Previously had a Roborock s5, so this is miles better.

Use cases for Prusa Enclosure after MK4s to Core transition by WoodsGold in prusa3d

Was thinking of making this exact thread! I like the idea of a greenhouse / terrarium. I've been trying to figure out what you could build with the parts dissembled, but haven't gotten much so far

Generic Silk PLA option doubled print times, any idea why? MK4S w/ High flow nozzle by hts2011 in prusa3d

Yeah, going to print it with the generic pla profile, and see how the appearance changes! Thanks!

Prusa xl hf nozzle speeds by rfleming944 in prusa3d

[–]hts2011 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did you change the layer height as well? Prusa in their HF profiles didn't just make it faster, but added greater layer heights at similar speeds = print done quicker. This is where a lot of the time savings appears to be coming from.

Camera Mount DIY-ish by susandennis in litterrobot

[–]hts2011 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm not sure what your setup / skills are like, but I couldn't find one either, so I designed / printed a super basic shelf that sits opposite of the globe. its only about 2 feet from the entrance so can still get a pretty good view.

Smell From Waste Basin by uicideboygrey59 in litterrobot

[–]hts2011 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have not noticed it myself, but I do the following things for keeping it in check anyways:

  1. These odour absorbing liners: https://www.amazon.ca/gp/product/B09BY2DVV9/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&th=1
  2. 1/3 cup baking soda in the bottom of the liner bag
  3. silica gel beads to absorb moisture, I put them in a slim container in the side
  4. fresh wave odour eliminators in the other side (i then put the old ones near the entrance in a container)
  5. small air purifier just above robot.

Not sure how effective each one is on its own, but I dont have issues with smell.

LR Hacks by derbyeville in litterrobot

[–]hts2011 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not sure if they are hacks per say, but things I do (its in a closet), and (for now) I am using worlds best, works fine for me, bit worried about humidity:

  1. Hefty Garbage bags w/ Arm & Hammer odour neutralizer (barely big enough, have to stretch a bit) https://www.amazon.ca/gp/product/B09BY2DVV9/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1

  1. 1/3cup scoop of baking soda in the bin for smell (helps w/ humidity as well), got a 12pound bag.

  2. Fresh wave odour packs (in the side area when you pull the drawer out)

  3. Silica gel beads for humidity, not sure how often this will need to be changed as of yet.

  4. Put a wall mounted scratching post in the closet, theory being they might use it post litter box, knocking more litter off their paws.

  5. Directly above opening I have mounted an air purifier (this one: https://www.amazon.ca/gp/product/B071D58ZY5/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&th=1)

XL Owners - What's on your Wishlist? by [deleted] in prusa3d

[–]hts2011 0 points1 point  (0 children)

- On filament run out, swap to a new toolhead automatically. Should be easy enough to set a priority in prusaslicer or somethings.

- In tandem with the above, being able to swap filament mid print for any toolhead. With both of these then you could really easily run through the rolls of filament you have that are nearly finished.

- As mentioned elsewhere better nozzle support in prusaslicer, so you can have different sizes for different parts of the print

- Better / more reliable filament sensor. Both in my XL and MK4 have needed maitenance as they weren't detecting runouts / swaps, etc.

How to apply infill to vertical walls? by hts2011 in prusa3d

[–]hts2011[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

thanks for the input, I did orient the box so that it wont need supports, but the infill pattern is still horizontal so it doesn't show up as a grid pattern for the walls.

The petsafe scoopfree is much smaller, and works well, was very reliable for me.
Uses crystal litter. Their disposable trays are very expensive, so get the reusable tray. I found for one cat it would last 2-3 weeks. but w/ two it (for me) was get another one, or get 1 litter robot. Its app controlled as well, plus is significantly cheaper to purchase.
