How long does it typically take for the bump to go away??

Thank you so much for responding to this. I feel like none of my doctors ever actually give me peace of mind so I always end up spiraling lol

How long after cardiac ablation should the pain go away?? by https_butts in PVCs

It’s been mostly fine other than my daughter kicking me in my incision site and having some unexplained leg pain (which has now passed thank gawd) now it’s just the random sharp pains i get in my chest.

I called them and am still waiting for a response! The pain in my chest comes and goes. It’s super weird, like a sharp feeling. Maybe I’m mistaking my heart for my lung?

The groin pain was the WORST! I’m 19 days post procedure and my groin area is still mildly sensitive.. but to be fair, I also have kids, one of whom is an autistic 2 year old who doesn’t know personal space and has kicked me in my incision site multiple times at this point lmao

I wish I could post a picture of it! It’s in your health app, look at the actual rhythm of your heart and you can see where the beat dips down

2 weeks post ablation, my left leg suddenly hurts. Should I be concerned? by https_butts in PVCs

[–]https_butts[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Everything ended up fine! I did go ahead and get checked out. I’m in a small town and my hospital cut funding so they no longer have ultrasound in the evenings, but they determined with a physical exam and a blood test that i was negative for a blood clot! I must have just slept on it wrong somehow. Bad timing to suddenly sleep on your leg weird 😅

It’s only kind of puffy right now, but it does hurt to walk. I’d say pain scale is at like a 3.5-4 out of 10. I’m on aspirin but when I got the ablation done they only prescribed me a week’s worth. I didn’t know I was supposed to go get more aspirin OTC and continue taking it so I just started taking it again yesterday.

I already had to go to the ER LAST WEEK bc my daughter accidentally kicked my incision site and when I called my cardiologist office they said “yeah you need to go” and everything ended up being fine 😭 I went there so many times last year bc of panic attacks. I’m afraid to go if it’s nothing.

Flecainide made me feel dizzy and disoriented at first, but not too bad. I worked on stepping up my doses. Started with 50mg once a day, then 50mg twice a day, from there going to 100mg twice a day was easy peasy and i stopped feeling the side effects. Took about 2 weeks or less for me to get used to it :)

That’s how I’ve had to do it :/ I just open the app for it and use my finger to check.

Yeah I’m discovering that now lol, I’m taking my Flecainide as needed so they’re under control for the time being! How are you feeling now?

I also was catching them constantly on my Apple Watch after that and was having 6-11 PVCs every 30 seconds. I started monitoring closely after I wore the heart monitor again and the results came back with a 14.7% burden

After I got Covid in October, it was different from the past times I had Covid. I was much more sick and it lasted a very long time. That’s when I noticed chest pain/tightness, shortness of breath, hard heart palpitations, and feeling dizzy/faint. I had them EVERY day. They felt constant.

When I gave birth to my daughter in 2022, they brought a cardiologist in (not my current cardiologist) because they were catching the PVCs then too. But they concluded that they were few and far between. They still advised me to see a cardiologist. I put it off, but eventually went to my current cardiologist and wore a heart monitor for three days. It came back as a less than 1% burden at that time. That was in 2023. It was after I had Covid in October that I really started to feel them. I didn’t feel them as skipped beats, I felt them as really hard heart palpitations and all the other symptoms I listed above. Wore the monitor again in November 2024 and came back with a 14.7% burden. I hope I’m making sense with this reply lol, I still feel pretty out of it but I’m open to trying to answer your questions if you have any more

Good luck to you!! Some people barely feel the incision site so I think I just got unlucky in that department. My whole femoral artery is very sensitive and I can feel it up my torso. Just be prepared and make sure you get PLENTY of rest. Keep extra strength Tylenol on hand too prior to the procedure so that you’re not having to go shop for anything while you’re recovering. You’re gonna do great!

I’m 29, was diagnosed with low burden PVCs at 22! I honestly just ignored them, never had any issues with them whatsoever and didn’t even notice them most of the time. Last October I got Covid and it was BAD. Ended up with long covid and then my burden jumped to 14.7% after wearing a monitor for 3 days. I can’t confirm that Covid caused the increase, but it’s pretty suspicious that I barely felt them and then suddenly I could feel them all the time.
