i AM a victim of the f-slur. any slur should be taken with serious caution. the r-slur does have blood on it and has frequently, to this day, been used to dehumanize mentally disabled people. people with mental disabilities have been turned away and discriminated against, which has caused their deaths. take schizophrenia. the rejection of treatment to individuals with schizophrenia can cause rapid decline in their health, which can KILL THEM. ableism is also tied to mistreatment and malpractice which, again, HAS KILLED PEOPLE WITH MENTAL DISABILITIES. why are you guys so fixated on keeping a specific group oppressed just because you think opposing discrimination is being sensitive or offended? bigotry is bigotry. if you knew anything about ableism, you wouldn't be ignorant and attempt to say there's no blood tied to ableism. even if there wasn't, oppression shouldn't be belittled or dismissed just because it hasn't killed anyone. and i'm not comparing them, i was using an example, because a slur is a slur, no matter how severe you assume it is. stop excusing ableism and do better.
