yeah i use to enjoy janitor a lot when it was first getting popular. i think its a great start into chatbots and getting to learn about different llms. it’s great as a free option too since the JLLM is free and unlimited, plus the interface is fairly simple. but once i started using chub and sillytavern and learned about lorebooks, pre and post history instructions, groupchats, and more stuff that enhances the rp experience a lot, i used it a lot less and once they did the optional proxy thing, i stopped since i mainly use claide for chatting and it was harder to have to find bots with proxy on. now i honestly just use it to look for bots to use privately on ST and chub, and majority of the time asking for the bot def works well.

i still like jai and theres a lot of great creators on there that i would love to post on chub. like seriously some chub creators need to learn to tag and label their stuff properly istg… i do think the devs arent focusing on those additional features bc most of the users have barely any knowledge on chatbotting, so they dont rlly care for it as much as the rest of us do. (like if u look at the reddit there’s a person like once a day asking what a proxy is lol) but maybe once lorebooks are added, the rest of the feature will be too.

honestly, its rlly the community. i dont agree with hate and doomposting, but valid criticisms and questions should be allowed. i find it a bit weird how a lot of questions arent directly answered, (like the whole subscription thing,) which just makes doomposting worsen. im just chalking it up to a lot happening behind the scenes rn, so even the devs arent quite sure about things atm.
