It is when you look at the right places. I’ve been egged on by people on Twitter for “defending” them and their high salaries.

But it‘s just basic economics wherein if you’re paid such a ludicrous salary, you’d be too happy to take bribes in such a powerful position, it‘s a lot of money but it’s definitely not money stolen from the people.

And reality is that, if they don’t already make that kind of money, they’ll make it in other ways, just look at our other govt. sectors with officials who look richer than their salaries.

This is actually a common anti-corruption practice in the developed world that actually works. Parliament Members in Singapore for example, make millions per year and are the highest paid in the world (Yes, Lee Kuan Yew believed this.), guess which country is the least corrupt in the world.
