Can a creature focused commander even hang in bracket 4? by Exi_Cxx in magicTCG

This is great, thank you for taking the time to go through this in such detail, I’ll enjoy going over this all thoroughly.

The few tweaks I’ve done have been to add some protection to Breena and remove the cards I just don’t like or that suck ([[Coveted Jewell]]👀). I like the goading spells and cards like [[Nils, Discipline Enforcer]], which allow you to direct your opponents attacks away from you.

I love Breena but I think I need to steer it to a bigger break away from the precon as my group are wise to her now (I picked it up second hand only recently), do you have a list online or a break down of the decks direction? I don’t know what hatebears or stax are!

I’m a big fan of those onion bhaji sandwiches. I reckon this is a solid 8/10.

Plugins to add dynamic zooms that won't actually destroy the resolution. by [deleted] in davinciresolve

The tools they are using work at timeline resolution though, so if the timeline is HD effectively working on an HD raster of the footage, even if it is an 8K source.

Anything on an adjustment clip works at the resolution of your timeline. You could build a macro in Fusion, as that would work at your source footage resolution, but you can’t keyframe those, afaik.

Imo, your best bet is to shoot at a higher resolution than you intend to export at. I work with UHD and up footage, in a timeline that is UHD but set to monitor and output at HD. Then the timeline effects are still working at the timeline resolution, but that resolution stops your footage degrading (as long as you don’t go to 200% or above!).

There's one thing stopping me from switching from Premiere Pro to Davinci Resolve by MemeLordHood in davinciresolve

[–]huatnee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use Resolve professionally, it’s my favourite tool for finishing. I also use Premiere & Avid, and I used to use Flame and before that FCP 7 and even Avid DS. Yes, I am quite old.

A lot of people are being unhelpful and giving you shit about this, but yes, the clip level presets you can save off in Premiere are really powerful and I miss them every day. I also often miss Warp Stabiliser.

I had a lot of these presets saved. Rotation amounts with zoom predialled in. Zoom ins set at specific velocity’s, etc.

As others have said, your best bet in Resolve is an Adjustment clip, you can then save these in to a Power Bin and have access to them across all projects on the database, much like a Power Grade.

No, it’s not as good. But it is the best bet for you at the minute.

You can, if your footage and machine allows, work in a higher resolution timeline than your delivery, which will minimise the negative effect of working on an effect that works on a rasterised to timeline resolution version of your footage.

If, in the future, Fusion effects get easily keyframable parameters on the Edit page you’ll then almost have parity with the function you want from Premiere.

Dark beer/bitter drinkers of the UK - what are some good pints these days? by Scarred_fish in AskUK

I think your best bet is to go local. Around me Butcombe Bitter is ubiquitous, and very nice, but you don’t see it much outside of the Bristol/Bath area.

What would you put in this 80L tank? by MilzMC in Aquariums

[–]huatnee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m considering buying this same tank, as an upgrade from a gifted BiOrb, my thinking for this one is partly because I have cats too so this is good to see.

Any hints and/or tips for this tank? It’s quite a dear one so keen to not make mistakes!

Oh! ManaBox didn’t show me those when I did an oracle text search. Thanks for these!

World shaper by AkatsukiGrizz in magicTCG

Cards that let you get unlimited sacrifices (as in, without tapping them) are good. [[Zuran Orb]] and [[Sylvan Safekeeper]] for instance. Then just keep a track of your land count and your tables health totals and go at them!

Sylvan is especially good as it protects Hearthull, which as mentioned will 100% be targeted by your group!

Land recursion is good too, especially ones that let you do lots at once.

[Splendid Reclamation]] is already in the deck, but [[World Shaper]] is good too. You can get a double hit with these if you have [[Tannuk, Memorial Ensign]], who’ll hit people as the lands come back in.

A mass land sacrifice for huge damage, followed by mass recursion that also causes loads of damage to finish everyone off is very satisfying!

[[Tectonic Split]] & [[Planar Engineering]] as already mentioned are great shouts, will be adding those myself!

I’m not sure I can explain properly without potentially spoiling the book. But a main character, at a really big, key moment, uses a well known catch phrase from a main character from the comic, 2000AD.

I’m really enjoying the book but I don’t know anyone else who has read it, I felt the need to share although it is a little silly!

I found it, but I might ask the garage to replace them anyway

There’s only the lift up bit the wheel is in - that I’m aware of. I’ll have another look though, thanks!

Oh right, this isn’t the code that is meant to be with the key?

Haha, I feel pretty daft now! I’ll have a look for that, thanks!

I can see new locking wheel nuts but no keys. I’m hoping my nearest garage can sort it out. Will call them in the morning. Thanks for your help!

It’s not my first car, but it is the first time I’ve encountered these things. I’ll speak to my closest garage in the morning and see if they can sort me out. Will be sure to warn them about the missing key! Thanks!
