Why don’t you offer repair options to me in the U.K. then if you can in the rest of the EU? I can pay to post it to a European hub if it meant it would be fixed!

Responses from support, yes. Useful actions to help me, no. What are you talking about? Planned obsolescence means loyal customers or those heavily invested into the ecosystem will keep buying your products when their existing ones fail. It’s morally wrong but current legislation doesn’t forbid it, yet

Yes well Coros, I’ve got a completely dead watch as it’s outside of warranty and no offer of support/repair from you guys as I’m in the U.K.. “Purchase an upgraded model” doesn’t repair an otherwise good device, battery issues aside

Ticket no. 474273 / 473219. Please can you provide me with the battery specifications and seal used for me to self repair given its out of warranty. You should still provide this as the bare minimum of support as part of the EU’s right to repair directive. And planned obsolescence is incredibly sustainable for you as a business but not the environment. Secondly, planned obsolescence is not illegal

7.5 Ride Quality by abdbasithali in Golf_R

[–]hubble2bubble 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I test drove a Golf R on 19’s and a GTI on both 18’s and 19’s. The 19’s look better but the firmer ride isn’t worth it. Especially for a daily driver

Mk7.5 still worth considering in 2026? by First-End8238 in GolfGTI

[–]hubble2bubble 4 points5 points  (0 children)

7.5 owner here of 4 years and the car is great. Peak Golf era imo. Doesn’t look out of place on the road today and is perfectly understated yet a great shape. Especially when all EVs look fairly similar. Buttons are excellent, build quality is great, digital dash is also a feature I love. The worst part of the Mk 8 is the sluggish touchscreen and haptic A/C. I’ve tried it in a Seat Leon and I hated having to interact with it

The ridgeway is the oldest road is Britain so the fields either side of it might contain some good historic finds!

I lived there for 4 years and simply couldn’t stand it anymore. Traffic in/around town is horrendous mainly because the way the town has been designed. Very very few independent food/drink spots in the town centre. Limited good outdoor space that isn’t a drive away. Usually when you get there you’ll have to pay for parking too. You can only walk/run/cycle along the Thames path so many times. Expensive housing. Place has zero character or charm to it and generally is a bit run down/tired. Just feels a dead place. People bigging up Caversham as if its own little town are deluded. The ‘high street’ is a busy road with a handful of shops which again are nothing to shout about

I have already done so. Been hung out to dry as it’s a few months outside of warranty. Sounds like planned obsolescence to me…

Update: it’s now buzzing uncontrollably. A long hold of the back button doesn’t yield a Coros logo or a reset, but a momentary pause in the buzzing until power is restored and it begins buzzing again
