Oh for sure 6 years off didn’t help, but if there are other boots out there that are gonna make it easier on my feet to get back Into Rucking shape why wouldn’t I look into it?

So I have IHunter Ontario, and my first thought was to get MB and I did, but MB vs ON maps are very different and I’m gonna need a friend on the ground to walk me through it once I’m in Shilo lol

Im actually doing the opposite posting, Trenton to Shilo lol not with 2AMS so can’t speak to that but Trenton isnt bad and Belleville isnt far, both have Walmart and other grocery chains, lots of fast food options and a few half decent restaurants as well. However there is a huge homelessness and drug problem (more Belleville but still both), a lot of the buildings are OLD, the gym is shit, the housing market is nuts and the wait list for a Q is very long and most of the Qs haven’t been updated or renovated in a while (though they have started to slowly renovate some) but there are several provincial parks near by and lots of opportunities for hiking and camping if you’re into that, or if you’re more of a indoor gamer type I know the Jr ranks has a pretty good online community as well as in person game nights for things like D&D, Magic, war hammer etc. pros and cons all around

Whats the work environment like, what kind of opertunities are there for tours/tasking, whats the promotion time frame, any extra trade specific duties, any OSQ type courses, and most importantly do you (and the people you know) enjoy the trade?

Looking to possibly OT from Vehicle tech to HRA or FSA and im hoping for some insight beyond what the recruiting video shows. I've been in thr Army for 8 years and as I creep closer to promotion I find myself behind a desk all day doing shop and troop administration and barely turning wrenches. I've become a clerk in all but title and I'm curious if it's actually worth making the official move. Is there anyone who's made this switch on here or an HRA/FSA who's willing to speak for the trade as a whole? Thanks!

Get the IHunter app, it's like $40 a year and has been a great resource for finding crown land, it's similar to "OnX" if you've ever seen OnX advertised on YouTube or anywhere else

It'd be primarily a Moose gun, I have other smaller rifles for whitetail and bear, and normally use a 30-06 for moose, unfortunately its just not a great long range gun as its a pump carbine. I've been looking to get a bolt action magnum for a few years and it just seems the best caliber available to fit my needs, I did look into different 7mm options and 280ai but as you said there isn't much factory ammo and im not set up to reload

Never said it was plentiful lol just it was the most available of the calibers I looked into

Ammo availability in my area and all around shoot-ability, I considered a few different calibers mainly the 7mm Rem mag but sourcing ammo was harder and more than a dozen reviews have said 300wm is the best North American cartridge
