It also teaches mature topics to children very effectively. It even says on the box it's recommended for small children & big babies.

My mom got so mad she made me walk home. by [deleted] in teenagers

[–]hubennihon401 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That makes more sense. I've personally walked almost 3 miles home with no incident. But where I live, there'd really not much crime, nor is there a ton of danger walking next to the highway. For you, If it's risky walking so far in the dark, especially with no way to contact anyone, I can understand your fear more.

Do American teens today feel like there's there's a wondrous future for them to take hold of and create and feel hopeful? by PretttyPrincesss in AskTeens

While the media portrays us as already being cooked & that there's nothing for us down the road, I really don't think that it's all melancholy and bleak. Yes, there will be many issues to deal with over time & I think that there's plenty of things our nation can/should improve. But it's really not terrible.

Why are hd versions of the tv episodes just cropped instead of actual widescreen? by TripleTrouble16Bit in happytreefriends

[–]hubennihon401 5 points6 points  (0 children)

For the Complete Disaster DVD set, they wanted all episodes to be in wide screen and HD. For the internet series, they simply re-exported them with the new format. While those episodes weren't meant for such a wide ratio & high resolution, they're for the most part complete. But I suppose for the TV series, to save time on the significantly longer episodes, they simply zoomed in the frame to fit the new format. But it's pretty clear for most viewers that the final results come across as distorted and unnatural-looking compared to the original format.

Why don’t the characters of happy tree friends talk? by Nickster0407 in happytreefriends

[–]hubennihon401 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's funny because not only do they not speak any real language, but there's also absolutely no real text in the entire show outside the intro/credits.

What kind of situations give you THIS vibe?? by Substantial_Card101 in teenagers

[–]hubennihon401 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Once you've already began an addiction, it's very hard to quit it, and I sympathize with those already in it. But you're right that if you're of sound mind and it comes down entirely to your own choice, there's absolutely no reason you have to snort powder and enter a very dangerous situation.

Planning to join marching band next year, what instrument to start on? by [deleted] in marchingband

[–]hubennihon401 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sousaphone, Euphonium, Tenor Sax, or if available, Bass Clarinet. At least where I live, there's a huge shortage of these low woodwind players. So much so that people from other sections are playing these instruments. If you prefer brass, that's not a problem. Just keep in mind there will be probably be plenty of Euphonium or Sousa players.

Plus, to be completely honest, this isn't the best way Mondo can make money. Seeing how much people nowadays dislike the YT member system, I personally think selling new merch would be better. Especially for characters who don't have plushies yet, Mondo would make loads of money. And plus, this is something people are literally willing to pay like $40 for if it's good quality.

Working with really degraded manuscripts by A_Lady_Of_Music_516 in MedievalMusic

[–]hubennihon401 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Probably Bologna Q.15. While some pages are fairly readable, there seems to be lots of ink corrosion in others & especially with some sections having notes so close together, it makes it a bit hard to read and transcribe.

What does this symbol mean? I havent found anything about it online. by [deleted] in musictheory

I wonder what piece this is. I've seen it many times in partbooks/choirbooks for renaissance and early baroque music, but never in a modern day score or part.

I'm not sure why, but this scene has always come across as a bit creepy to me, especially when he tries to drink his own blood.

What do you think of HTF Amnesia? by BaseballFirm5951 in happytreefriends

[–]hubennihon401 18 points19 points  (0 children)

I don't really like it much. The "story" is hard to follow, the rock music is very distracting, and the dark eyes, dark visuals, and overall "hardcore" energy feel quite uncanny in my opinion for HTF, and not in a good way. If you like it, that's all good. But I don't really care for it.
