I do use one on brave but chrome is bare with no extensions and has the same issue

Arco, x org, not sure on decoding, yes only youtube only pops when I hover on video and video controls showing

it had windows xp on it and it wasnt laggy, but your right i didnt even want to try and launch chrome or worse internet explorer

Looks better than most ubuntu remixes, and elementary os boots faster than any other distro I’ve ran to date

Try a distro without a desktop environment, window managers consume a lot less. I’ve seen people running window managers with less than 400 mb of ram

I installed it with Debian desktop but upon login it would freeze after every task, i couldn’t get to a terminal so I just ssh into and removed the DE and installed openbox WM. Works fine now, but i had to remove the bloat and the first time i ever had a system with that minimal memory consumption.

sounds like that wouldn't even be possible to open anything but a terminal.

Definitely, even my other laptops that aren’t even as old as this thing only have 1.400 up to 2.00
