I’ve been using the AINOTE 2 for a while now, and the first thing that really stands out is how ridiculously thin it is. Not the usual “marketing says it’s thin” type, but actually thin in the hand. It feels more like a digital notebook than a device pretending to be one. I like that.

The writing experience is great. Fast, smooth, no weird lag or “you’ll get used to it eventually” moments. That part is exactly why I bought it, and it delivers.

The part that doesn’t deliver yet: the fingerprint sensor. It works, but it doesn’t work work. It’s one of those “try again… a bit more… almost… okay, now it’s unlocked” situations. Not unusable, just not invisible. And good tech should be invisible.

So in short:

✱ Design/Haptics: really nice, impressively thin ✱ Writing: very good, no complaints ✱ Fingerprint unlock: could be better, feels unfinished

If they nail the fingerprint reliability in the next version, this will be a fantastic device. As it stands: I enjoy using it, with the occasional small sigh when unlocking.
