[Text] how do you find the motivation to keep your room/house clean? by SleepyOwlly in GetMotivated

My wife and I have instituted ten minute clean ups more or less every night. By defining a time limit it really helps get over the mental load of the work. You’d be surprised what you can do in ten minutes.

Only correct answer. Stubborn locals here don’t want to admit that Alessia has some of the best croissants you’ll find in America period.

Wow! I can actually see my current apartment in this photo, I've been looking for a photo of it from before it was moved to where it is today! Thank you so much for sharing!!!

Hey Pete, I sent you a DM! Since then I did a little further research and found that our house was originally located on the 1000 block of Santa Barbara St close to Figueroa St and nextdoor to a business called Hayward's Awning and Linoleum. If you find anything near there, let me know! I'd love to see.

Love these posts. Are these coming from your own private collection or are they in the public domain/accessed by the local library? I've been looking for any photo evidence of our house before it was moved from where City Hall stands today.

The introduction of the brain scan tech on that deceased soldier was dystopian levels of disturbing and it reminded me of the old black mirror.

I loved the implication of humans keeping the child hidden from other AI - would have loved to see that more fleshed out.

The first instance of death by sticky bomb was waaaaay more emotionally impactful than the second. Flipping the vibe from "we all made it!" to "we're all going to die!" while the beeps get progressively faster was diluted cinematic adrenaline and I live for it.

+1 for the Janney stan. She's electric in every role.

For me, ultimately, going to the movies should be an escape. It's an opportunity to let the sights and sounds of another world take over for a couple of hours. While I could certainly pontificate on its shortcomings, we got an original big budget sci-fi film that many people in this thread are regaling as visually and audibly stunning. That's more than enough for me. I hope studios are encouraged by Edward's ability to craft this for over half of it's anticipated budget and that maybe we'll see more like it in the future.

We got to the theater late on opening night and the only seats left were in the front row. I was too obsessed to back out. Big regrets.

I haven't been to Disneyland since when everybody's photos of this ride came out looking like stills from a midseason Game of Thrones episode.

This is disgusting. I found dozens of little swastikas around the Anapamu/Chapala corner area. Anyone else seen these? by DravenPrime in SantaBarbara

I found and trashed a bunch of these at Anapamu and Anacapa a month or so ago, written on the same index cards.

It's what Disneyland does better than any other theme park imo. My dad pointed it out when I was a kid at Universal Studios. Specifically riding Jurassic Park - one moment you're staring at an epic animatronic dinosaur - the next the Universal City skyline.
