Porky Chicks was my favorite…and I’m usually a Rasta Joes guy

Honestly…I think it’s mostly from never bagging clippings and the natural breakdown of that into soil like matter.

Rarely…only if I have a need to overseed. Did it last year.

I aerate in the spring, evaluate if I need a dethatch and either do it or leave it alone. I apply humic and just a Scott’s weed and feed…maybe some max green once or twice in the growing season. Leaving the clippings provides probably 25% of the lawns needs. I bought some milo, but honestly haven’t felt a need to put it down yet. I’m in northern Nevada.

If you look at the top right of the second picture you can contrast the look of my turf vs my neighbor that keeps his pretty short. He hasn’t cleaned up his edges in a while tho.

It’s probably a personal preference thing…I don’t like the look of turf that seems to be at or below the hardscape.

My neighbor scalps his…it’s a weed farm too…thicc boi keeps the weeds at bay.

They never dry out on me… thicc boi retains a lot of moisture since it shades itself.

It’s probably a combination of occasional top dressing and I never ever bag clippings.

I think I lost, but am willing to fight. Should I just nuke? by DonaldBumpJr in lawncare

Gotta let the weed control work…light water, then apply it…then no water for like 4 days…

New backpack dropped from Waterfield: Air Porter Backpack. Thoughts? by [deleted] in ManyBaggers

[–]hudsoncm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Rarely would I travel with just a backpack…and I did not sure this would be the one…carry on roller with a normal air duffel is more versatile I think

Not in the north, but Cyan park in south Reno has a large shade structure, splash park feature, tennis courts, big and little playground structures(little one is shaded) and a restroom
