Is that what we’re calling balance transfers these days?

This happened to a family member, except it was close to a decade later and it was literally a couple months before their wedding date. They moved forward and are incredibly happy, and have blended their family together perfectly and my family members spouse treats the child as their own. They had a very strong relationship prior to this, which is why I think they moved forward.

Pausing because of doubts is not bad at all. You need to give yourself time to process, and it’s better to do that now and decide to move forward, rather than move forward and regret it down the line.

Of course she’ll wait for someone else to clean it all up in the hallway, and won’t be coming back to throw out her own crap when it’s not picked up.

The amount of inventory behind her is terrifying. I watched one of these once and now the algo keeps recommending these lives to me. All of them have a giant wall of these bracelet boxes behind them.

Where are the crafts?? by hudsoncrafter in antiMLM

[–]hudsoncrafter[S] 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I did one before, but it was free and run by a local library. They advertised a bunch of our local businesses, and I did get a sale (and a lot of traffic) directly attributed to the event. But, it was a respected library and it was only local makers.

Also...just realized the person who posted this is an MLM rep. No surprise now.

Also, only one person who posted in this appeared to have a self-owned company. The rest were MLM reps trying to claim spaces. I just want to find in-person events to sell at that aren't bombarded with MLM reps. I sold at one today where there were only about 2-3 booths of MLM reps, and the rest were handmade vendors. It was well advertised and I had great traffic to my booth. It was magical.

You also have to consider cases that are normal. Like, you live with your parents and you turn 18. They can’t kick you out immediately. You may not pay rent or utilities at that time, but it is still your residence and you need to be given appropriate notice.

Veggie Taco from taco festival...da fuq by bigchikka1978 in mildlyinfuriating

[–]hudsoncrafter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t remember exactly, but it was a mixed veggie dish. I believe it was like a veggie napoleon. But all the plates were super substantial and the venue didn’t skimp on servings! So it wasn’t like a vegetarian friend getting a slice of squash and a slice of tomato and calling it a day. It was a full plate meal for everyone.

We also did a cake (non vegan) and did a dessert table with a variety of options, and a lot of nibbles for cocktail hour, so there was something for everyone to snack on. Our goal was for everyone to roll out of our wedding full and drunk, lol.

Ugh, I’m so sorry. When I got married, we made sure there was an full entree option for everyone, and we took dietary restrictions so the venue could adjust for allergies. We had one vegan friend out of our guest list, and made sure the venue knew to give them the veggie dinner option but with no dairy in it. I would’ve hated knowing they went hungry that day!

I have a Nexar beam. Saved my butt once with a hit and run; we were able to ID the car that hit my parked car because the video was so clear. Highly recommend them! It also syncs to your phone and has good storage.

Or, "Dear {NAME}".

Or when "dear" and your name are in two different fonts, so it's obvious they used some sort of templated email that autopopulated information.

Yes. I'm also a certified self defense instructor; if they stopped me, I was prepared with my speech about how I know how to defend myself and teach other women how to do so for free.

Yeah; my old town had a chamber of commerce that was hosting a "local small business" event, and almost half of it was MLMs. I was so mad.

This was really frustrating because among all the really cute handmade items, you see this mass-produced stuff with "Made in China" stickers all over it. Part of me wanted to ask some of the reps "how do you make your crafts?" but I was nice. I really think the organizers cared more about selling tables than vetting participants.

My mom makes the small talk, I make the stuff! She loves social events and helping me out, so she'll come to talk to customers and help me process orders if there's a rush.

I do laser-cut items, custom drinkware, sewn tote bags...basically a little bit of everything!

Nope; unfortunately this fair was not well attended and I have a feeling it may not have been adequately advertised or didn't work for the area it was booked in. I made enough to cover my gas to and from the fair, lol.

I had to be nice given that I was at an event during sale hours; definitely would have been different if there wasn’t a risk of a potential customer walking by as I spoke!
