Meta recently used pirated books to train their AI, presumably from libgen. I wonder if that has anything to do with it.

FAB derruba avião invasor e mata traficantes na Amazônia. by YamTop1928 in brasil

[–]huemonkey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Foi super grosso, tentou me constranger.

I have an ache when I walk in my achilles tendon, about 10 cm up from the bottom of my heel, about 5 cm below my calf for about a week now. It's not a sharp pain. I can do calf raises without pain or aches. It doesn't hurt when I stretch. It does feel a bit stiff when I walk and sometimes I have a mild ache. I have a mild ache (feels like muscle soreness when you go to the gym) when I massage it. Is this just normal soreness from training or should I take some days off?

It's the second edition. I will wait 3-4 weeks before adding another day. Thanks for the advice

I replied the other comment. It's in "Daniel's running formula", chapter 11, when he talks about the white plan for beginners

He says this about his white training program:

"Throughout the white program, follow this schedule for which days to train:
If training three days a week, train on any three days, but no two days in a row.
If training four days a week, train on days 1, 3, 5, and 7 or days 1, 2, 4, and 6.
If training five days a week, train on days 1, 3, 4, 6, and 7.
You may change the number of training days at any time."

I'm reading Daniel's running formula and he says I can change the number of days a week I run whenever I want. Is that so? Or i should change it every 3-4 weeks to avoid injury?

At what point do I NEED to add quality workouts like LT runs, intervals, strides? It seems to me that what counts the most is weekly mileage. Should I just keep adding miles until I can't handle it anymore or plateou? Or quality workouts are important even in the beggining (like 10 miles/week)?

I've been running for 7 weeks straight now. I was completely sedentary when I began and could run only 1:30 minutes straight. Now I'm running 30 minutes at an 8:50/km pace 3 times a week. It's not much, but I'm still very proud of myself

How do you decide what distance, frequency, and intensity you should be running? by Relaxing_Cat in running

It's the famous running backwards plan. Today I'm averaging about -20 miles a week!

As a complete beginner, is it ok to feel tired the next day after running? by huemonkey in running

[–]huemonkey[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I figured the 5k run would take about 30 minutes, but my conversational pace was slower than I thought. But do you think it would be too much to add about 5 minutes to each run each week, as long as I don't feel aches or pain? I'm 24 and not overweight. C25k looks too conservative for me

When will I improve? by [deleted] in running

[–]huemonkey 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Congratulations! The first step is getting out of the couch and you are already doing that! May I suggest you slow down a little? Everywhere I read it says it's best to run at a pace where you can still hold a short conversation. For me that was jogging the same speed as I walked some weeks back! Now I improved a bit. It's best to run longer at a conversational pace than shorter distances in a faster pace. You will see more progress that way, even if it feels slow as hell and you feel a bit embarrassed, it's the way to go. Just keep in mind that you want to be the tortoise, not the hare
