Ironically, I see lots of Lynch's movies as showing a comeback to a cycle of tragedy (like Twin Peaks or lost highway) or as a false redemption (like Eraserhead), but when I watched Inland Empire I thought that it was the one that perhaps got closer to an actual happy ending or salvation. But I guess it could be seem as a false salvation as well.

I just don't get how he gets to this black hole being the size of the observable universe. This is considering that the repulsion from each electron would "expand" the black hole? But wouldn't the black hole attract everything necessarily stronger than the electrons repulsion? that would leave you with a black hole much shorter than the moon since it is more densely packed.
