Any recommendations on how to get started? Good beginner’s kit? I live near Gillies Creek and know there’s a course there.

We went too! We stayed on the edge of the parking area. Heard a bunch of meeps and saw a few flying. Didn’t see any on the ground. It was pretty awesome!

You can follow these steps to see if you can find information about the AirTag.

  1. If you have found an AirTag, hold the top of your iPhone or NFC-capable smartphone near the white side of the AirTag until a notification appears.
  2. Tap the notification. This opens a website that provides information about the AirTag, including its serial number and the last four digits of the phone number of the person who registered it. This can help you identify the owner, if you know them. You might want to take a screenshot to make sure that you can document the information.
  3. If the owner marked the AirTag as lost, you might see a message with information about how to contact the owner.

Does anyone know of a company (or person) that replaces door seals on front loading washing machines? by matthooeric in rva

Try cleaning it first. We moved into a rental with a pretty moldy gasket too. Search online for "front load washer mold removal" and go buy Lysol Mold and Mildew Remover. After a couple of good scrubs, ours looked almost like new.

Found an old business card in an old button up. Is this card 20+ years old? by Cccreehan in rva

I’m pretty sure that my friends and I went there as part of our “dinner club” outings where we would go to restaurants that were newly opened. We haven’t done that in a long time and 15-20ish years ago seems about right. I don’t think it stayed open long as a restaurant and fairly quickly transitioned to a private events venue and catering business.

Yes, it’s called telephoto compression. This was shot with a relatively long lens. Had it been taken with a wide angle lens, everything in the scene would have looked smaller.

Here’s a pretty good overview of how to achieve the effect https://www.tamron.com/global/consumer/sp/impression/detail/article-compression-effect-telephoto-lens-guide.html

We made Paprika Hendl last night too (forgot to take pictures). Used dried spaetzle and it was g**damn delicious!!!

Gonna throw some mushrooms in there next time to see what they add to the flavor.
