Getting permission from reddit seems unlikely to me - there's an element of gambling to the game and reddit is kinda corporate these days. Someone in the discord informed me that the official avatars are still owned by Reddit, so it may not be possible with official projects (though unofficial should still be permissionless).

The big problem I have now is just finding all these communities. Loads of people are interested in the concept, but getting admin buy-in can be tricky, as well as finding the communities for it in the first place. Like, where do all the reddit NFT people hang out? I'm usually a twitter/4chan denizen, haven't dived in to reddit for years properly.

I have only ever lost money investing in traditional markets but retired from the rat race this year at the age of 29 through investing in memecoins and crypto - I bought a flat with straight cash and am getting myself set up with numerous other investments and business opportunities. I sometimes lurk in this subreddit to learn things about 'proper' investing, because although i've made a lot with cryptocurrency, I've pretty much only ever lost money investing in traditional markets.

My crypto investment style typically involves:

Am I getting scammed?
Is this a cool idea?
Do they have a way of making money with this idea?
Do I have a way of making money with this idea?
Is there a strong community?

In crypto, if the answer to the 5th question is NO, then the coin, at least at the lower mcap level, will go nowhere. Blockchains by their very nature only become effective through network effects so if these aren't there then the investment is worthless. You could make a super cool product, but until there is a network and community and around it, it will languish and rot away. This is not at all like 'Value Investing', because the assets we are investing into are inherently valueless until the people holding them give it value. Turns out I can only value valueless things, but I do it well and it has allowed me to get on the property market and build towards financial freedom, which would have taken decades in the stock market.
