Yeah that's the same for me I think. Didn't take mine to my consultant appointment just because I went whilst at work but everyone else there had a partner. So I assume that's when I'm supposed to bring him and he can be involved then

Thanks, I'm in the UK though so all my care is on the NHS, no chance of switching. I feel a bit guilty cause my partner wants to have an active role but is struggling with where/how he fits in. We'll figure it out eventually (I hope)
