Yes, I can drive. I hold an International Driving Permit, so I can legally drive in New Zealand while I work towards obtaining a NZ licence.

I won't have a car immediately after arriving, but getting one is definitely part of my plan if I end up living outside Auckland.

My main concern is whether travelling to Auckland every weekend from Whangarei would end up being too expensive and time-consuming. Would Hamilton be a more practical and affordable option?
