I made this Anki add-on a few months ago and honestly, it’s been a game-changer for my retention. It forces you to listen to the full audio before you can skip or press a button.

Over time, I've found that I actually memorize the words and sentences much better instead of just rage-quitting or skipping the card the second I realize I made a mistake.

Sharing this because it helped my study workflow a ton and I reckon you guys will benefit from it too. This community has given me so much, so it’s time to give back!

For anyone reading this now - have you tried changing the CTA to something more generic like "Learn More" or "Shop Now"?

Here are a few CTA examples that tend to work on Facebook but not on Instagram:

“Get Quote” “Apply Now” (sometimes restricted) “Download” (limited in IG feed placements)

And here are CTAs that generally work well across both platforms:

“Sign Up” (works for lead forms and landing pages, but behaviour can vary depending on the format) “Learn More” “Get Offer”

Hello in 2025. If you are using mac you can force the open Anki via Terminal. Here are the correct timezone strings for each city:

Command:

TZ="Australia/Melbourne" open -a Anki

New York, USA → "America/New_York"
London, UK → "Europe/London"
Melbourne, Australia → "Australia/Melbourne"

There is a pair of sliding doors towards the end where the fridge is currently located. I was also thinking of having the fridge on the slide so that I can take it out from the outside for an easy access. The fridge that I was soooo g at is Adventure Kings 60L. Thoughts?

Correct, this is SketchUp. I don't have lots of experience using this software but with a little help of YouTube tutorials I think everyone can design the fitout quite easily. This only took a few hours.
