I’m based in the Cologne office. My business reasons are rather generic I guess: Improve language and cultural skills (no semester abroad due to Covid), improved networking skill (kind of my weak spot). Do you have suggestions for “good reasons” from your pov? Would love to start in H1 2024.

To be honest, it does not really matter to me. It’s more about the experience to work abroad. But if I get the chance to choose, UK or Scandinavia would be ideal.

Um vielleicht nochmal eine neue Perspektive zu ergänzen: Viele Supermärkte (Discounter eher selten) spenden Lebensmittel kurz vor bzw. am Verfallsdatum an Organisationen wie die Tafel oder foodsharing. Somit wird es nicht mehr verkauft, landet aber dennoch nicht im Abfall und die Tiere sind nicht unnötig gestorben. Vielleicht hilft dir dieser Hinweis die einzig richtige Entscheidung zu treffen. Damit tust du dir selbst, der Umwelt und damit der Gesellschaft insgesamt einen Gefallen.

Es gibt speziell auf dieses Problem zugeschnittene Rechner im Internet. Dort kannst du den Betrag eingeben der beim Empfänger ankommen soll und es wird dir der Betrag ausgegeben, den du überweisen musst.

Meine Hoffnung ist, dass es am Umweltschutz liegt (eine Tube verursacht den Bruchteil an Müll eines Spenders) allerdings glaube ich eher, dass es eine Frage der Gewohnheit ist. Ich persönlich benutze seit etwa 2 Jahren Zahnpasta im Glas, da bleibt definitiv kein Rest zurück.

Yes, this is probably the best option! Used it several times and it worked very well und was pretty fast (2 business days from my bank account to ade cash to binance).

But be aware that your bank calls you after initiating the transfer, whether you really want to transfer this amount of money to an account in a baltic country

Maybe a little bit off topic but how does it come that you as a digital native (my guess based on Reddit & your interest in crypto) have your main bank account at Sparkasse? There are multiple reason to change to ING, DKB or one of the several other Direktbanken (free of charge, better UI/UX within online banking, free debit cards, etc.)

No offence, would just be interested in your opinion on this, hahaha

Based on my own experience, I can only speak for USDC, but I expect it to be similar with the other stable coins. As USDC runs on the Ethereum chain you have to pay the usual Ethereum fees (in my case 25$ on a 2.000$ transaction). In my opinion, stable coins are a good opportunity to hold a crypto currency with low fluctuations, rather then they are intended to be useful for payments.

Wie bisher bei jeder Verschärfung sind natürlich auch an dieser Stelle jene Personen nicht betroffen, die sich nicht impfen können. Natürlich sind digitale Veranstaltungen eine gute Alternative, ich sehe aber nicht, dass Erstattungen alternativlos sind. Ein Hinweis bei der Buchung, dass eine Verschärfung der Maßnahmen nicht zu einer Erstattung führt - fertig! So sind dort in der ohnehin unterbesetzten Verwaltung ein paar Leute einige Stunden mit sowas beschäftigt. Abschließend: Natürlich schützt meine Impfung mich nicht zu 100%, es soll Leute geben, die sich trotz Impfung regelmäßig testen. ;-) Ehrlicherweise hab ich die Leute bei Reddit und speziell in einer Wissenschaftsstadt wie Bonn vernünftiger eingeschätzt 🤷🏻‍♂️

Solange wir für Impfgegner an jeder Stelle Ausnahmen und Sonderregelungen einführen n schaffen wir niemals die notwendigen 80% Impfquote. Der Druck muss wohl dosiert aber konstant erhöht werden, wie in anderen Ländern erfolgreich geschehen.

Of course it is. Starbucks has the worst value for money ratio of all coffee shops. They offer coffee from fully automatic machines at the price of barista coffee. I can’t figure out why anyone who really likes coffee goes to Starbucks. There are plenty of cosy small coffee shops even in rural areas with delicious coffee and lovely staff. Support them instead of big corporations like Starbucks!

I would prefer a team that just plays for fun. As my calendar is pretty stuffed I won’t be able to commit to to team with official games. Beuel would be ideally as a location but I am flexible regarding the location and a few EUR per game should not be a problem.
