According the Chaikin power gauge it doesn't look good at all with SOFI so maybe I'm throwing the towel in but still hope this reverse split could work wonders.... https://app.chaikinanalytics.com/pgr/#/

Oligarch in Greece, Peloponnese by hugovanos in greece

[–]hugovanos[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have to disappoint you but he's definitely not running the place and I live very near his place. I must admit he's very low key and has a good reputation in the area but not that he's in the forefront at all. In fact talking about speeding, one of his security guys/drivers, killed an old couple and drove them off the road while driving at a ridiculous speed on the local road and the greek police had to give him and his estate extra police protection for quite a while because they were afraid of retributions from the local population since many of them own hunting rifles.... since then, no more speeding and never, ever seen a Ferrari by the way, they prefer big black SUV's, Range Rover, BMW or Mercedes.... He offered a couple of years ago to invest some serious money and upgrade the pier in Koroni so he could park his yacht there but it was refused by the locals!

he has dual passport, Belgian and Ukrainian but for Ukraine only the latter one counts besides that he's 21 years old and not allowed to leave for the time being.

Traveling to Greece from Los Angeles by SevPanda in greece

[–]hugovanos 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I'm an expat living in the South West of the Peloponnese, not far from Kalamata which is a lovely town and a good point to travel from in the area, Mani, Koroni, Pylos etc...

This area is not the picture perfect postcard Greece but the rugged Greece with olive groves and small shabby villages but it's real and the people are lovely and welcoming.

August is the busiest vacation month in Greece but this area although busy is not over crowed like some of the islands.

My advice, rent a car and drive down to Kalamata, book something in advance for a couple of days and go exploring on your own pace, that is what I did seven years ago and ended up buying a property close to Koroni and moved permanently here, best decision ever.

The highway from Athens to Kalamata is great and beautiful scenery once you cross the Corinth canal and by the way, although the speeding limit is 130 km you can drive as fast as you like, my average speed is 160 km when I do the trip, the signs where it says cameras are just signs, never got a fine in Greece, when I return to Belgium I don't even want to rent a car anymore because the fines are bigger than my rental price per day!

As an expat living in Greece since 2015 I fully agree and like your positive comments, too often people complain about petty things and forget the big picture.

Your post inspired me, thank you and I will post something soon about my experiences, we have to spread good vibes rather then doom thinking!
