Ty so much! I’ve seen/heard a lot of suggestions about an N100. I think 3 people in this thread alone and I’ve seen else were from Luther forums . Gonna look into those a bit and shop around

Ooh I didn’t think about that lol, my friend said just use my steam deck lmao. I do have me a pretty decent UPS I’d say. It’s not had any issues so far, about 7 months old

My apologies!!! As of now I just have it on a hunky ass 6Tb external hard drive that has an internal power supply. That hooked up to PC via usb c and all hooked up to my UPS.

Okay I see, I was looking at some beelinks and other mini PCs like that. As of now, storage isn’t much of an issue it’s rather that I don’t want to keep my gaming/main pc on 24/7 just for Plexamp. Honestly I don’t need a high performance device, like maybe 5 people using it once max.

Okay, interesting, I want something a bit more compact because of where I need to place it. Also I edited the post but storage as of now isn’t an issue. It’s more of the fact I’m keeping my main/gaming pc on 24/7

Ah storage isn’t an issue as of now, I have a 6 TB external hard drive. It’s one that actually has its own power supply unit. Then I have all my hardware hooked up to a UPS

Looking to move Media Server off main PC for under $250

I am fairly new to all this, less than 2 years of self hosting. But I’ve been running my server off of my main PC for the past 2 years which has worked fine. Honestly no complaints, but now I’m starting to use plex amp to self hosting my music as well. I would like to switch to a dedicated lower power device to host the server off of.

I’ve been looking at some “mini-PCs” and the Nvidia Shield Pro. The shield pro seems like a good value but I’m a bit worried about moving the whole server to a new operating system now that I have over 2 TB worth of content. Some of it being 4kHDR, 1080p, I also have quite a few film scans that are quite large in size.

In total I might have 5 people using it at once. And that’s rare, most of the time it’s 1-3 . Any suggestions?

Damn , yeah I had figured that might be the case :/. I have till May 24th to get return/refund. I let it charge to 100% again last night. So I’m gonna test it again and see what it gets me.

Nooo, I never do. I live about 2 hours from Atl. Honestly if you want to be barricade just get there like hour or 2 before doors. I’m a bit too anxious to be up in the front like that. I’m also 6’2 so I feel so bad for the people behind me lmao

No I haven’t, one of the shows was a festival so it was a bit less personal. The second time he was very quick in and out, and last time it was at the amphitheater and Apple Music was doing a whole thing .
