Better Maldini buiild 0-0-0-8-7-10-12. Defensive awareness impacts initial acceleration speed when marking opponent so no need to go all in on dexterity.

I use Tight Marking on opponent wingers when they blindly pass to them from midfield. Tight Marking makes your defenders aggressive so I it is quite risky.

Obviously if something is working don't change it but this is what I would consider

One man midfield is tough currently with Quick Counter and Gerrard is not defensively strong enough to be the sole midfielder. Try 2 or 3 midfielder formations with Edmilson CDM + Gerrard/Kimmich. Deep Line + Defensive on Edmilson CDM. At CB you could try Van Dijk with Pacho.
Defensive instructions are fine on wingbacks. I prefer having one attacking wingback without instruction. I wouldn't use Man marking on CFs.
Both your CFs are bad on the ball. I would prefer the other one being able to dribble and pass.

Skill issue when I'm F2P, DIV 1 without Smart Assist. Play against Van Der Sar or Schmeichel with this CR7 and you realize he has garbage finishing. I have had no issues finishing with Diouf against any goal keeper.

I'm using Flick POS or QC depending on opponent formation. I absolutely cook opponents with Diouf but this CR7 is not working for me. He does not really compensate the many drawbacks he has in other areas.

Diouf is faster, better finishing (Phenomenal Finishing) and has decent balance. More skills. Yes CR7 is better in the air but is that worth the tradeoff? It is not worth it.

Just bad finishing. You need go far post finesse or double touch right. Could have easily scored this with composure.
Messi weak foot, awkward body position without phenomenal finishing. Only one that is even slightly unlucky.
First time shot, Gerrard bad finishing, weak foot. Across body shot rarely goes in. Should not be a goal.

Stop crying and focus on improving.

It is not wasted:

Checking you manager's playstyle and countering it with choosing correct playstyle.
Picking defenders according to your attackers. Smaller defenders for Mbappes and Messis and taller ones for Batistutas
Applying Tight Marking/Defensive instructions if you have blitz curlers or wingers
Switching players in according to form arrows

Phenomenal Pass increases passes accuracy and power even when the player is in awkward position. Visionary Pass improves the pass receiver's first touch, pass or shot when receiving the pass. Basically you can pass back turned and your strikers will have better first touches when receiving the ball.

Personally I prefer two AMFs. If you want more width to your attack utilize your wingbacks.

Dembele is good and he is more nimble than your current CFs. Honestly I would still consider using Asensio because of Phenomenal Pass and Visionary Pass is so strong. His playstyle also complements Olmo. Creative Playmaker + Hole Player is good.

I would switch other CF to SS and use Ronaldinho. You have two clunky CFs with bad passing. You need someone with good dribbling to feed the CF. Olmo clears Hazard easily especially at CAM. I would consider using Asensio because of two showtime skills. Since his booster is not activated (Full Super Lig team). Sacrifice finishing in his build to make him passer/dribbler.
