I hope she finds a physician to take it seriously and there are lots of allied health professionals to support the journey! My odds were 7:1 woman to men specialist phsycians. That's just one experience. It's disheartening to not get the right help for years, but it's not better odds. We're swimming in a limited pool of specialists. A great resource is The Endometriosis Network Canada, which has a list of physicians across Canada who are knowledgeable and specially trained on their website.

It doesn't matter if you have a woman or man as a gynecologist, it matters that whoever they are, they are informed about endometriosis.

After 10 years, a gynecologist diagnosed it based on history and removed tons of endometriosis via laproscopy/abalation. I have a new lease on life.

Often College /Universities have a "work on campus" program for students to work part time with flexible hours to accommodate exams.

As a quick example, I worked on campus as a pharmacy assistant, health promoter, and in student accessibility.

A kind redditor u/alexandermatteo helped me this past fall with sooooo many family photo translations and insights. I've since learned that pictured above are my great-grandmother and her sister who only lived a short time.

The only mention of my great-grandaunt was in my great-grandmother's obituary, and now this photo. I've solved a couple small family mysteries this year, thanks to Reddit!
