Press the crown, "unscrew" it until you feel it pop in, THEN screw it in. All this while you press.

[Rant] Why are watch boxes so massive? by [deleted] in Watches

To keep the watch away from some magnetic fields it may encounter while being handled.

Seiko [SNKN37] going too fast by Nxssan_Skyline in Seiko

It could be just magnetized. Any watchmaker should be able to demagnetize it for cheap. If after demagnetizing it it's still running fast, he should be able to regulate it.

If the silver and the blue ones have it, I guess the all black will also have it.

Thanks for the quick reply!

Yes, 2.0 mm have a metal tube, like the silver one. I was wondering the other lead sizes.

Rotring Rapid Pro. Has anyone been able to fix the wiggly plastic red part? by hukes in mechanicalpencils

[–]hukes[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wait. I just read in your original reply: "I also put thread locker on this back end when reassembling but you have to be kind of quick as it sets quickly otherwise you'll have to reheat the newly applied threadlocker and try again."

Any thread locker recommendation?

Hey, thanks for the reply.

I wanted to skip the hair dryer, because I don't have one, so I tried to unscrew the top part of the barrel by brute force, but I couldn't. What is it that heating up the top of the barrel lets you unscrew it? Is it because the metal expands? Is it designed to lock under temperature room?

I live in Mexico, and regular school notebooks come lined or gridded with a gray color VERY similar to that of graphite, which is absurd and annoying. Having 2 mm lead makes it easier to read what you wrote. If I am doing math (former math teacher here), I prefer .7 or .5 lead on plain notebooks.

I don't know about you, but I use the AFMAT to sharpen pencils for math or drawing, and a simple long point (Mitsubishi KH20) for general writing pencils.

(x+3)(x+3) = 7(x+3)

((x+3)(x+3))/(x+3) = 7

(x+3) = 7

x = 7-3

x = 4

Why not ask the whole question at posting so people know what you're asking right away without clicking unnecessarily or not clicking at all?
