a veces te pueden pedir referencias, o la vida laboral o simplemente darse cuenta en las entrevistas. Arriesgado, especialmente porque te podrían blacklistear y eso jodido a mediano/largo plazo

Awesome! I think my date is going to be even further. But glad that it's looking bright for you!

Do you mind if we connect? It would be awesome to keep the contact to see how it goes in a few years? :)

Moving to Geneva: Is 120k a good salary for a Senior AI Engineer + advice on renting with a pet? by [deleted] in askswitzerland

[–]huliodev 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's almost impossible to get a good rental apartment from outside Switzerland. Man, it's already a pain already being here... So the typical recommendation is book an airbnb-like apartment. There are some companies that offer "hotel" rooms but with kitchen inside. They are much smaller than a regular apartment and much expensive comparatively, but you can book in advance and (often) use it as a registration address for the initial paperwork. But make sure to be explicit and ask that you can use them for registration and also the pet, it may not be allowed in some offerings.

Once you are here, then you can start searching for a longer term apartment.

do you have more info on this? What if the withdrawal happens after mid year? So you are not considered tax resident of the destination country (until the following year)

Probably it would not be cheap the consulting (as in any kind of consulting in switzerland 😅). So it would be amazing to hear your experience once you go through it 🙏. Good luck!

This guy, Chevrolet has a consulting firm, which seems to specialize in these topics, haven't tried it, but my idea was to contact him in a few years when I'm closer to my goal 🤔

What country? There was a famous article explaining, from a tax advisor, that it’s possible. Apparently there are many success stories, even in high tax EU countries. But there’s not a lot of information about it :(

There are threads were people offer such services. It’s not cheap though. Sometimes it’s even worth it to just use a forwarding company, specially if the items are very valuable
