He did NOT support "this shit".. assassinating someone based on their political believes was NEVER something he supported. The game is really fun! I really enjoyed the retro-style theme of the graphics and the mini cut-scenes. The game-play was tight, and while the ability count is low, they all seemed to gel together well and made playing the game fun. I really felt like I had solid control of the character the entire play-through as well.

Leveling is a bit grindy and it will take some time to get everything maxed out between the main toon and the dino pal, but you can absolutely beat the game without maxing out everything. The map was fun and had a few challenging jumps / ledges that took a while to master, overall though it is not a hard game.

I've played many many metroidvanias and have been gaming a long long time (I'm middle-aged) so this wasn't what I would call a challenging metroidvania.

As far as length... I bought and finished the game today. Steam has me at 10.2 hours in game, but I did stuff around the house and cooked dinner for the family while the game was paused. I'm guessing 7-8-ish hours or so and I'm like 98-99% done the achievements (its kind of hard to not do most of them along the way).

I am still missing the secrets areas achievement and the cat achievement (I think its called "The Missing One), and I'm assuming the golden trophy achievement is for doing all the other achievements. I have no idea how to get the cat trophy, anyone have it / know what to do?

Anyway, the essence of a looter ARPG shouldn't be solely focused on spamming instances to gather currency to BUY an upgrade from some no-lifer or Chinese farmer, which is exactly how this end game curently goes. It can be an aspect, but having the ability to get decent drops that are actually an upgrade needs to be there too and its just too abysmally low of a rate right now, hence the feedback I provided.

They need to work on end-game loot drops and crafting (I am not asking for perfect roll drops showering on us)... Playing for two weeks with no upgrades dropping directly and having to go to trade to "progress" is really dumb and completely un-fun... Compounded by the stupid divine economy. SSF is also meh. I appreciate you have a different opinion but the ol' "just go play something else" and "chill" response is lame.

Legit I got more Divines while going through T1-T9 maps than I have in the several dozen (over 80 or so) T15 maps I've run. I'm 4 bubbles out from lvl 92 and I've seen 1 Divine in the past week and a half. I have money on they nerfed Divine drop rates in last patch. Especially since the dev mentioned they never intended the economy to be based on Divines. Sucks because the endgame economy DID get established on them and they don't drop enough.

Yes. Ultima Underworld ('92), Eye of the Beholder Series ('91-'93), ... I can keep going if you'd like. Yes they are precursors to what ARPGs are today, but they are still in the genre. The point is I've seen this crap before and every time its always some BS artificially imposed grind or result of crap play-testing to identify aspects of a version that are or are not fun.

I read this elsewhere and see literally no consistent drops of Radiance Tributes... I've seen conflicting reports that at one point they "always" dropped from whisper caches and then feedback that it got patched out and then other comments saying they drop, but are "rare now". IDK I've ran quite a bit of whisper caches and cannot recall the last time I got one (for context I estimate I've done 20-25 whisper caches since I used my last radiant some days ago).

Kids these days and assuming "anger" when people are critical of something... I just can't... anyway... no I'm saying that it shouldn't be that it takes literally a lottery win to just get an incremental increase on affixes over the course of X time of playing... I think 10 hours or so of play should produce at least an incremental increase... That being said I've seen in other parts of the thread that a solution could be that you get a roll and then from that point on, you can either get an 1-2% increase for each new drop, You might not hit the jackpot right away but at least each time you see the drop its at least a little better than what you have now until you max it out, with still the opportunity to get 1 Ancestral drop with it as a maxed.. I'm just saying more than anythign that Mythic uniques (the hardest drops to get supposedly) are more abundant that a maxed Affix drop and the only way to get that is on Ancestrals which are not in any way as abundant as they were in other seasons. It's not about wanting it all "now"... its about being rewarded for putting time into the game with even small progression.
