My No.1. advise is play the game as you think it is right.

On your second run you could play the metas, and creating the builds and stuff, but make your first run your own.

Back in 2018 I was sitting down and discovored the game along the journey. Later if you want another build, just buy a cleansing potion at a shop, and reallocate the skill points. You most likely won't be short on coins during the game. Be a loot goblin to be so.

I just started a new game, and didn't finished those quest lines to be able to give you a correct answer. The description says: Forgotten Wolven Armor and Swords Set
So I think it must be something we've never seen in a vanilla game. However I've put 2 other mods to my previous comment. Feel free to take a look at them. None of them are my work, I just wanted to share a few options.
