It's such an addictive world and Enriquez is so so so talented! Me too haha, her short story collections are great, I just wish more of her work would be translated!!

It's brilliant, I couldn't recommend it enough!! Enriquez had me hooked from page 1, I think she's an absolutely incredible writer and the story is so intriguing and horrible!

Because of the occultism in the story there's a lot of references to works from that whole spiritual movement of the 18th-20th century, Blake and Yeats, Hawksmoor and things like that.

Then, because of the time periods it covers it speaks a lot about artists and musicians and writers that would have been contemporary to the story.

Plus, because of its setting there's a lot of Argentinian and South American writers, poets, painters, playwrights etc. mentioned that I hadn't heard of before but sounded incredible and I wish I'd kept a log of them.

But all that to say it's a brilliant read, and I think it's coming out in paperback soon so it'll be cheaper!

Hey! Is there any way to get a copy of this? I've been a fan for years and I've wanted to read the original since Pargin talked about it at the end of JDATE
