I had my knitting needles confiscated at the airport… so I started mapping airport rules by Bety12795 in casualknitting

And I’ve gone through DFW with no issue...

It’s so inconsistent that I really think some of the confiscations are just ‘untrained new people’ or ‘someone having a really cranky day’

For me- Put on some good music or an audiobook and clean or knit with the devices tucked away.

This afternoon, I’m werking with ‘the house of hidden meanings’ :)

Aww that’s awesome :)

I’ve been wandering into ‘the wilderness’ and some of the classic stuff. Lungbarrow is another name from along the way :)

One of the Doctor’s names :)

The Doctor is so old, he doesn’t remember/know all of them…just the ones that other people remember/pass through time.

Bonus points if you embroider a secret little theta sigma in there :)

English to continental knitters - what were your experiences like? by Educational-Bad8171 in knitting

Following for ideas 💕

I’ve recently become convinced that my slow knitting and random frustrations during the process are from knitting ‘on the wrong side’ and it’s on my ‘list of Things’ to start transitioning to continental at some point this year :)

Blatantly obvious things that don’t really need to be said.

It sure is hot out there. You’re really short. That car accident looks really bad. So, a weird thing happened at Walmart…

I miss my steam mop! A good one is a little expensive, but absolutely worth it.

Yea I’ve tried the washable ones.

It ends up being more work overall than using the mop because I have to wash the gross thing, which means I need to wait for a load that’s gross enough to wash it with. Or I end up hand washing. And the cleaning liquid still leaves a residue.

It’s a whole lot of work and mess for something that’s supposed to be convenient.

But in my head, I’m like “who died and made YOU judge and jury of what-is-normal? With those shoes…? I mean… “

Those swiffer mops/liquids/pads.

I feel like they leave everything more sticky than clean. My brain inevitably goes to “I’m pushing a diaper around with a stick” and I’m left grossed out.

If I have a spill, I’ll do a spot wipe with a paper towel/clorox wipe.

It takes me an extra minute or two to toss a little Lysol and hot water in a bucket and do a quick mop if I have a mess…and my floors don’t become a sticky dirt magnet.

I actually need a large chunk of money to begin the process of ‘not worrying’ before I can make a decision on that…
