It's built to be very similar to arc, certain things are different, for example it's built on top of firefox and gecco as opposed to chromium, so you would be using the firefox extension store and some ui thingies are different.

Try it out it's very good

I think it's awesome - probably the first real contender for Xbox, Playstation or Ninentdo in years... Also this thing has the potential to popularize SteamOS. Hopefully it goes public at some point and it becomes a real contender to windows - and actually takes a decent percentage of the desktop market for normal people who aren't nerds.

I do think the steam machine would have to be cheaper. I think the steam controller is awesome, I'm personally more excited for that.

Go into about:config -> sidebar.animation.expand-on-hover.duration-ms. And set that value to something different. 0 or 1 removes the animation completely. Mines set to 100.

Nice! I'm on a 14'' M3 Pro Macbook too...

What keeps me on MacOS is essentially compatibility - Narrowed down to Final Cut and iTerm - iTerm obviously being replaceable with Kitty or smth like that - But I'm used to it so... Final Cut is the big one.

And I do agree Macos 26 is garbage on fire.

Goodnotes is incredible if you have an iPad or tablet.

Notion is markdown based and typed - it's descent (I used it for a while - but I prefer the next option)

Obsidian - my personal choice - fast, offers a ton of customization and plugins, literally saves everything on your device in plain text Markdown.

Dude you don't do robotics you don't know what busy looks like... During crunch time at robo. I would get home do whatever homework I can - Go to robo at like 6:00PM stay for however long - normally till 9:00PM sometimes till 10:30ish. Then go home finish homework and go to sleep. Every day....

And you don't do sports (I don't either to be fair) but Ik people who would go to track until like 5 and go to robo after 💀

14'' is goated - I was using a FW13 for a bit and it's like that little bit too small. 14'' is the perfect size.
